He's streaky as hell over the last couple of years. This year he cant get any consistancy what so ever. Has really taken a step back.

I don't think he'll get traded this season but hypothetically what would he be worth? Depends.

I could see an Eastern team going into the playoffs thinking he'll add depth, exp and leadership. That may even breath some life like back into KB and he'll deliver. If that's what a team thinks they are getting at the TD, he may fetch a 2nd and a b level d prospect/young player.

A mid/late 1st maybe if Benning threw in good bottom 6 depth like Higgins. That may look like a decent playoff depth package to a team. Pretty narrow market for that idea... but who knows what GM's will fetch on the market for the playoffs. Watch how few 1st rounders change hands.... maybe/probably none.

2012-13 Season - Swept by SJ in the first round
2013-14 Season - start strong and fade in the second half
2014-15 Season - Another strong start, but look to be fading once again.

I honestly believe he's miscast as a "power forward" because he's tall. The guy has a great pair of hands and should be in a top six role, that said, he's gotta earn it. WD seems very reluctant to put him in a position to succeed offensively??

Matthias is more of a power forward type of player in that he drives the net and is very strong on the puck

Understood…I just think it's such a great experience for our younger players to make the playoffs. If the Canucks get a 15th or 16th pick I still think it'll be a good one. Plus they can always trade up a few spots.
