It shouldn't matter one bit how we lose just as long as we do, did anyone think that Nolan is basically telling players, " you don't want to be here, you don't like what's going on, have no fear your trade day is here". - SABRES 89
Opinions vary.
I think you're really wrong on this, especially on this thing with Vogl. |

It doesn't matter as of now and I always said, losing like this hurts the young players. Guess what, as of now it doesn't matter all that matters is McDavid or Eichel. |

This I disagree on. Getting absolutly blown out every game is not the way to do it. We could lose very game for all I care this year, just need to see effort and improvement somewhere on this team. I don't want to turn into the Oilers. |

It's one thing to lose, it's entirely another to look like you don't even belong in the ECHL, which is currently how they look.
I'm fine with them losing. But can't the games be even the slightest bit entertaining?
There's only like 3 players that look like they give a damn out there. I know it's rough on them as well, but things aren't going to get any better for them if they're all just coasting around out there doing their own thing.
And this isn't me complaining, it's just making an observation. If this is what needs to be done to get McDavid or Eichel, I'll deal with it, because for once it would be awesome to get the best prize at the end of the season.
I still watch most of the games, I still have my season tickets, I still come on here and talk about the team and the league in general. |

So you want to show up, play good, score goals ( which hurts also) win games and not get blown out. But you also want McDavid or Eichel ? it doesn't work that way.
The Buffalo media are a joke, they jump on the bandwagon if the Bills and Sabres are winning and jump off and throw everyone under the bus if they lose. |

It's hard on every player, coach, everyone all together but they all knew the deal going in.

I did not say I want them to win games, I want them to not look like a high school hockey team that cant pass the puck 2 feet. Yes I'd like them to show up to the games. |

They had every chance to not offer Nolan a contract, they could have gone in any direction they wanted. Pegula, Black and Murray all agreed to hire Nolan and give him a 3 year deal, no matter who they brought in as coach, any coach knew what was ahead of him with this team going forward. Nolan was a FA so to speak and they did not have to bring him back, Murray said it countless times, he wants players and coaches that want to be here. |

I like the posters here that criticize Gorges for being upset with the way the season is going. He's frustrated and he seems to be the type of guy that doesn't feel the way they're playing is acceptable, and honestly, I think that's great. I think he'll be a good fit once everything here starts clicking beyond this season.
He has a passion for playing the game at a high level and expecting that out of his teammates, and I don't think anyone should fault him for that. I'd rather have a team full of guys like him over a team full of guys like Hodgson who look like they mailed it in before the season even started. |

Well that's what happens when you don't have a good team that's rebuilding, you want that 1st or 2nd pick no matter what. |

This team will look completely different next season to where it be fun to watch again, the Pens got Crosby, Malkin and Fleury, there pain went away real quick.
mistake if they move Gorges. |

They hired Nolan for the tank job. Which is fine. Murray isn't going to hire his own guy when he will have to fire him in 2-3 years. |

Matt Cooke might be out the rest of the year great, send Kaleta there for a 7th round pick or a one way ticket. |

I agree. While I think he's probably going to be a 5-6 here when all is said and done, I think he's the type of vet presence we need back there.
I'm hoping that they can turn it around quick. I have patience, especially when the prize at the end of the day is a generational talent, but I don't know how much more of this I can take beyond this year. |

IMO and my opinion only, The goal was to get the 1st or 2nd pick and even I thought they wouldn't tank but it's happening. Everyone on here wanted that pick but people keep complaining that the team stinks, the coach stinks, we can't compete, we have little talent, why can't they put good games together,it's Myers , it's Moulson, it's Hodgson, it's Stewart. all kinds of stuff back and fourth.
I can't understand why some are mad at what is going on, this is what everyone wanted was to SUCK and they do. We are last in the league, we can't score, can't stop a puck, can't stop a rush coming in the zone, can't pass..... it's perfect.
But people still complain and want players gone and Nolan fired ( I want ceratin players gone) We can't win games, score, and still draft 1st or 2nd, it won't happen. Why people are still unhappy is beyond me, who cares how they play or the effort they give, we want the pick that is the GOAL and nothing else.
I posted this in the blog before this one, but some didn't see it. - SABRES 89

I think this is pretty accurate. I think maybe they were hoping that Nolan could get the most of out of this group, but that they would still fall short of being a decent team and inevitably get that top pick.
He may be around again next year, but I don't see him being here past that. It just doesn't make sense. |

From what Murray said in his interview with Sylvester last week, He wants the change to start next season he doesn't want to pick 1st or 2nd after next year. This doesn't have to take another 3-4 years this can be done quicker. |
