Hasn't Murray been quoted saying he was really impressed with Armia's game? Pretty much saying he stood out? I am pretty sure I've seen a link posted around here of an interview with him that said pretty much that... - LetsGoBuffalo75
Don't know to be honest, didn't see it. |

The following examples illustrate how the provisions in the Regular Waivers chart shall beapplied:
(a) An 18 year old or 19 year old drafted in the 2013 Entry Draft who signed and
played in eleven (11) NHL Games or more in the 2013-14 season will be exempt as follows:
Season Regular Waivers
13-14 Exempt
14-15 Exempt
15-16 Exempt
16-17 Eligible
Now Grigoenko was drafted in 2012, so more it back a year.

Where in the link you posted does it say "free waivers"?
I can't find it anywhere nor have I seen "free waivers" in the CBA. The only thing I can think of is "free waivers" may mean no waiver fees. - dadeadhead
I'm just going by this line from that site I linked:
"The “Playing Season Waiver Period” (which I will call “waiver period”) begins 12 days before the start of the regular season and ends the day after a team’s season ends."
I interpret it to mean that there is free movement before that 12-day mention. I could be wrong and have no problem being so, but why mention this cutoff date of 12 days before the regular season starts if it doesn't mean anything?
It does exist in the CBA btw. Page 71, article 13.2 |

Random thought, is it weird that recent Sabres have been traded for a player with same number?
Gaustad = 1st = 1st from Calgary = Zemgus
Roy = Ott
Vanek = Moulson
Mcnabb = Deslauriers
Weird |

Free waivers period does not exist as far as I can see. As far as why mention it? Who knows lawyers are an odd bunch.
Moral of the story is Grigorenko is eligible for waivers next year which leads me to believe he will be here full tim next season. |

And as I wrote earlier, if Ellis and Kaleta are on this roster now, Grigorenko should be fine with a permanent spot next year.

If getting around waivers was as simple as sending guys down before the 12 day period, we would see teams taking advantage of it. |

I use it for Bills games, other NHL and NFL games. This is the 1st year I didn't get NHL Center Ice and Sunday Ticket and I have no regrets. |

Correct which is why I say it doesn't exist.
In the end Grigoreko will be here full time as I highly doubt he'd clear. Someone would take a chance on him. |

They've won only 6 of their last 21 games. Not very good for a team that won the Cup last year. |
