Buffalo's little gizmo on here thinks he just needs a new fresh opportunity on a good team lol.
Then others think he sucks
If I was DET i would only give up DET 2015 1st for him. - FLYERSROCK!
then buffalo can walk up to the podium and say "with the next four picks in the draft Buffalo selects player x, player y, player z and player q" |

Even though I don't think as highly of Myers as some do here.
Going to take just a little bit more than just a 1st to attain Myers but that's just my opinion.

last year murray tried trading all of his second rounders to move into the first but found no takers...
if he were to try it again at the draft, maybe Pittsburgh would bite...it seems like their pipeline's getting depleted - Michael Pachla
As stated, Pitt does not have a first this year, but other teams might do it still. Detroit?
And I think Murray tried to get back into the first, but if he could not get his targeted player, he might have pulled offers. He may have had the opportunity, but at some point, he might have said that Lemiuex was their guy and thought he could get him at 31, which he did. So trading up would not have helped there. Only a few know and no one is telling you for certain who they "really" wanted. |

Heading up to Bell Centre today (from Lake Placid) for the game where I will be rockin' my Myers throwback 3rd Jersey....It was a gift...
I've seen about 5 games there and the Sabres have never lost, so hopefully that will continue. 14 games in a row is ridiculous. The NHL record is 17. I won't be supporting the Tank today. Tommorow, probably.

to the wings?
yeah...didn't fit into the piece, but they might have an interest in a winger like stewart due to the questionable status of franzen...
that would be a good fit too |

He would be your best defenseman by far - jackoc150
Absolutely
Mark Sreit has been kinda awesome lately so probably 2nd best or tied for 1st.
But yeah without a doubt he'd be our 1st/2nd best dman
Andy Mac and Nick Grossmann baby!! |

No, I was asking for Montreal. Habs need an RW, top 6.
Habs have all their picks this year + 2 2nd round pick in 2016. |

I'd prefer not to move him at all; unless it's a steal (which seems to be Murray's opinion as well). I would rather not risk him becoming great somewhere else, especially for someone in our division. Who the hell knows what Murray is going to do though, it's exciting to say the least if you ask me. - jackoc150
I tend to agree with you.
If Murray trades within the division a player with 5 (or more?) years left on a contract, that is a long term solution for Detroit.
I mean, if you think Myers is top 4 D, he should not just trade away (unless UFA) just to get another pick. We got this kid ready and paid tons of the money owed (for the contract), just to throw that away for another pick? Honestly, Myers is worth a 1st (especially a team destined for a good playoff run) and a high prospect. Nothing says that prospect will pan out, nor the 1st. (he may even be worth a bit more than that, with his potential factored in) |

All depends on how others view Myers
some view him as a #2 dman, some as a #4 dman, some as a bottom pairing guy
I think he just needs to be on a talented team to be a #2 guy
all about opinions
If I was DET, the East is up for the taking this year. Pens suck in the playoffs, Tampa has been up and down, Montreal's essentially led by their all-world goaltender, Rangers have been up and down. I think Myers would do well there.
What'd that pick be, at highest 18th overall? That's like Evgeny Svechnikov/Jeremy Roy/Colin White/Nick Merkley territory. All project to be 2nd line players, Svechnikov/Roy could be top guys with their potential. |

I know nothing about him, but seems like another small forward.
I think the Habs could trade a 2nd round pick plus an average prospect. Might fit the bill. |

Edmonton's win last night put Buffalo at a 92% chance at 30.
That being said, Edmonton has a 7% chance and Arizona has less than 1% chance. - TheSabresTaco
My kids' calculator tells me this means we have a 18.4% chance of picking first. |

Sebastian Collberg and a 2nd for Vanek? Knowing it was just a rental (as he wanted to test FA).
I know that is Vanek and not Stewart, but that goes against what you said. That is all. |
