I was comparing his stats here to Bernier's... Codys success is that he hit 20 goals last season and would have the prior season if it wasnt for a lockout. This team lacks scoring big time. I just don't get why a guy who has proven to score in the past is number one on some peoples list to get out of here.

Yea... I'll take the young kid thats proven he can score over the scrubs we currently have playing. Yes he is terrible defensively but he does have upside and with talent around him he can be valuable as trade bait when his numbers go up.

look, the guy had his numbers massaged by vancouver before darcy traded for him. sending him out almost exclusively for offensive zone faceoffs, which had two benefits- padding his offensive stats and covering his defensive shortcomings. not much has changed, gary roberts or not. darcy then gave him a bridge deal that should have been reasonable, and he isnt playing up to it. he absolutely does not fit the rebuild. even as a winger. hes nothing special. hes a darcy guy. expect him to be replaced with a murray guy. thats my 2 cents.
