I would love to have the big Buffetline here but as others have alluded to, what he brings is in high demand and will cost...alot. - LordHumungous
I would give them gaunce or Jensen and kassian, plus lack. or markstrom and kassian is a sexy package.
alternatively I would like mike green from the caps for Kassian. he is ufa.
EDIT
best trade would be staals for sedins straight up - if that happened I would go on a bender for 7 days minimum. funny thing is it works for both organisations. new looks new excitement all the way around. |

did the blogger just seriously compare kassian to seguin? that is complete blasphemy and loses all credence in my mind. kassian not worth anything in a trade. winner in kassian for hodson deal = every other team in the league that didn't take the bait. |

Kassian should take a place on the second line for 5+ games. 15m a night. Just let the retard play. If in the last 2 games he isn't engaged ship him for a top prospect or get picks and call it.
We are so bad against good teams that it is hard to watch. If kassian can play well on the second line - things change. more space for that line . Match ups are better for 3rd and 4th
Can't say I miss BXA, just need to get rid of pizza - TJTD
The team is in a playoff hunt. I don't see them handing out free minutes like Skittles to someone who may or may not show up,to play.
I remember this young guy I use to work with. The kid had talent but was late every day by an hour or so ,left early every day , and had some bad issues in the nighttime.
The company gave him chance after chance but always the same excuses and results.
Finally the company cut their ties and everyone said too bad the kid had potential.
About two years later he got pardoned by the union and was hired on by us again. Guess what same thing repeated itself . |

The comparison was the underachieving forward with a taste for the nose-candy (extrapolating here). Obviously Kassian and Seguin are in 2 very different leagues, skills-wise. |

I would trade kassian for weise and I'm not kidding
Only issue with the trade for kassian is Hodgson and Schneider got traded around a year ish apart. What do you thin vancouver could have got for kassian and Hodgson together at that point wow - The_Kuze[url]
When did we have Kassian and Hodgson at the same time? |

I see what you are saying, and there must be an issue. That said, where is the mentoring, and what is the intervention plan? TOo many players are traded away and have success. Stuff him with Geoff Courtnall or Kirk Maclean. We have a great set of retired players around, why not use them. At least to build an asset for the team to trade off eventually.
Not everyone has time I get it, but if you had a 10m+ asset can't you pay a retired player 100k to help him out?
I guess I am dreaming, but |

I was trying to ignore that. I think Carol got emotional..... |

I think he meant Hodgson and Schneider. Although that package would have been a great package I doubt Gillis would have been able to do it. Gillis is afraid of big package.

Or trade him and let him be someone else's problem . This is not a baby sitting league. You will find yourself paying more attention on him than the other 5 young players that are ready to play. |

it is a baby sitting league! 18 years old making millions with little to no education cuz they are at the rink 12-20 hours a day.

Anyone in Philly, a forward, that we can trade Kassian, Weber/Stanton and Lack for...?
Not Vincent, but a younger prospect? |

The issue is that there are many examples of underachieving or problem players being moved only to thrive in another environment. This is the reason why GMs around the league are hesitant to trade away the problems for scraps. Similar to the Sequin deal.
What the media and everyone else don't recall is that for every player that successfully revives his career with another team there are about 50 that get traded and fade away into obscurity.
Sometimes the adage of addition by subtraction is something that GM should consider regardless of the potential Cam Neel trade. |

timmo, Simmonds for kassian and a second
lack has no value. he is a back up famous because of Luongo. |

I agree. I see him as a Penner not a Neely |

sequin got paired with Modano. Modano wasn't a role model he was a gambler and a womaniser (which in the US is a big sin I guess), But he reformed and now there is a love fest happening.

Is Read still a sought-after commodity? He could likely fill a bottom 6 role and chip in a bit offensively, just giving up size in the deal |

If half of that happens, good job Benning.
If we move Burrows, I can see us retaining some salary.
Thought it was strange that McKenzie and Dreger both think we are still in the market for help on defence. I feel better with Hamhuis in the lineup than Bieksa. Especially now since we have Clendening, another righty.
I think Hoffman isn't going to happen in a trade with Ottawa.
Wondering when we are going to trade Hansen to Winnipeg?

it would be Lack that's is traded not, Markstrom... TL & JB are no longer interested in trading Markstrom, they think he is just a late bloomer ala Ben Bishop
