Well, at least it's over. Maybe someone will make a movie based on a new idea for once. Seems like there is an over abundance of sequels and trilogies the last few years. Though I am looking forward to the new Star Wars movie... - funmaster18
Nah, next big one, after Star Wars 7, will be a 4 movie series about Stephen King's The Stand |

He's been patient, but ownership may decide he needs to get into the playoffs.
He's done a great job of building the system. The Jets depth of prospects is the envy of the league. They have a ton of good prospects on hand. - Jsaquella
Without the purse the big market teams can boast and attractive destination I am impressed. Not a fan of the team, but would be a little cool to see a little country city win the cup over the big city lights of say LA.
Market pressure and ownership dictates a lot. Chevy would have been pelted with eggs in Philly by now. |

Getting Coburn could free them up to move a guy like Bogo for more offense though. Just not sure who else they'd want that would even out cap hits. Only other guy I can think is Read and I'm just not sure it's a good idea to trade two current forwards to strengthen a top line thats already one of the best in hockey. - PhillySportsGuy
Yeah, they'll be looking to ship a dman or two out... they've got 8 healthy bodies back there now, 10 total on the active roster. It's probably not going to be Bogo, tho... and I have a hard time seeing Chevy being active enough to make multiple moves in sequence.
They need scoring help... Flyers need the same. They have depth defensemen to shed... Flyers have a ridiculous surplus of those. Not sure they're compatible. |

I just hope they remake the godfather saga. There is no way that could be a bad thing... And split the 3rd one into two movies. |

I'm a historical movie guy. World Wars, or medieval whatever..
That tank movie, Fury. Downloaded it a couple weeks back. Even though a little too cheesy with a tank crew essentially wiping out a whole SS squad, was very well done. Enjoyed it. |

I do wonder how much pressure is on Cheveldayoff to make the playoffs this season. Holmgren was able to use the pressure Don waddell was under in Atlanta to make the Zhitnik for Coburn deal in 2007. Maybe Hextall can do the same to Chevy? - Jsaquella
Consider this... After the 3 year season ticket holders contract was up there were some drops. The 5 yr contracts are up this season. Now there's a waiting list but they must be asking themselves if 5 yrs with no playoffs is going to be an impact on renewals. |

Unless he was open and honest about it being a rebuild. The Sixers are openly tanking and the fans seem to be onboard with it. But NHL teams basically are printing money with home playoff dates-players are paid by the NHL during the playoffs and the games are a huge cash grab for owners |

Liked the first the best. Same as I did the fellowship. More character development, and an organic feel.
More CGI porn in the later hobbit movies made it feel like a video game. - flyer_nutter

A name I like out there, certainly not a flashy name, but I really like this guy: Mikkel Bødker. Probably wouldn't cost an arm and a leg either. |

Lots of good old time things to choose from. 20,000 leagues under the sea. Ivanhoe. Crusoe. Brave New World. poop like that. |

There has to be some drop off. There's also the windfall of home playoff games in a strictly money making sense. |

I think Evander has a much higher trade value than Brayden.
Coburn.. Well.. To be honest I have no idea what his value is, and again if the Jets are trading Evander, they imo will want offense back. That's the weakness of the team. I also don't think picks will be super attractive to a team that is coming out of a rebuild. They want immediate help. - flyer_nutter
Kane has averaged 2.05 points per 60 over his career.
Schenn has averaged 1.89 points per 60 over his career.
Kanes had tougher usage, but he's seen much more PP time and Schenn has been forced onto lines with guys like Briere and VL for a lot of his career.
Let's not act like Kane has been outproducing Schenn by a huge mark. |

That's what I was thinking. Also, the hobbit trilogy probably should have been one film. I stopped watching the first one after an hour long dwarf sing-a-long while cleaning the dishes - funmaster18
The second one is much better |

Matt Carle was a very good defenseman who wasn't a part time player and healthy scratch when he was brought in. Why pay 1.75M when comparable players can be had for far less without giving up any assets? I don't beleive that Kassian is an equal at this point to Talbot and Simmonds when they were first acquired by the Flyers. - MJL
Sean Couturier at 1.75M and 21 years, Brayden Schenn at 2.50M and 23 years of age, Zach Kassian at 1.75M and 23 years of age. All different players. All developing in different ways. If Zack Kassian can become a Power Forward, those types normally take extra time to develop. I put Kassian in the middle between a Steve Downie and a Wayne Simmonds in terms of what he could be. At the same Simmonds is a stretch because Simmonds is undoubtedly better but I also ciew gim as the best Power Forward in the game even over Milan Lucic. |

Barrel scene was a joke. Cheesy BS that is all special effects. The biggest crime to me, was the orcs in the movie. In lord of the rings at least they put some effort into it.
Hobbit movies just had them all as computer game characters. Wooooo. |

I actually agree. I don't feel either guy is a good fit where they currently are. I still feel both players could become something special. |

I have that to watch as well. I will have to check it out. I also enjoy historical movies. I like almost any kind of movie except ones that try too hard to be different. I can't watch anything that's trying too hard to be quirky. |
