Agree that we need forwards who can score next year. not crazy about eberle- probably not what murrays looking for either. We could do worse, i guess it would depend on the price. trying to guess what edmonton would want- probably pysyk, foligno, and the st louis first, and thats waaaay more than im giving up. - rover16
Id give up foligno and a 1st if thats what it took but no way on pysyk. |

I dont know, with how young this team is gonna get i don't think itd work out. Hed have to go to a team that already has strong vet leadership to get him going the right direction i think. - zdp1189
I dont want to have anything to do with that NBA "look at me, me ME" attitude. Theres no room for a guy like that in a smaller town. Send him to toronto or LA or NY. |

Such a waste of talent . Problem with going to a team with Veteran leadership is who with that makeup would have the cap room for his contract.

Think Shanahan could make that kid fly straight? New York would never have cap room for him. Los angeles has that sort of leadership . Maybe send him to LA for a first and Richards.

Sounds like Maurice is fed up with him. I dont think most coaches have much of a tolerance for "showtime." Not sure what kind of vet could tell him to sit down, shut up, and play the game. He would probably just think some "stupid old guy" is trying to tell him what to do. |

L A seems to have some that are not too old. Certainly Sutter won't put up with his crap either.

Thats too bad. Hes not a kid anymore. Id cut a young kid a little slack, it must be great to be 20 years old with fame and money, but i expect that most grow up at least enough to be professionals and enjoy their stupidity behind closed doors. Maybe evander isnt gonna get there. |

realistically or has it been mentioned by the press, what is the asking price for either a Stewart or Stafford? |

I would say a second each . I can see them being packaged with something else to get it to a first or young prospect. |

Their career stats mirror Perron.
He got a 1st so I'd doubt they get moved for anything less than a 2nd and prospect. |

I think he was looking for a 2nd and a mid level prospect for each. Those were buy it now prices from a few weeks ago. Could go up or down (sorry to state the obvious) depending on the market at the deadline. |

I would think we'd need to keep one of them. Preferably Stewart. |

Honestly, neither.
They both play when they want to.
It still would not shock me to see Stafford re-upped. Not saying I want him back, just feel he will be the easier cheaper guy to resign. |

I have a pipe dream we trade stewart ++ to the islanders to help them place Okposso in return for the other reinhart. He spent a year in Edmonton playing with Psysk. I think our future D would be rock solid at that point. May be send them McCabe so they still have a D-prospect in the pipeline? Plus a pick?

I could see that. Out of the two, i dont see him getting boatloads of money thrown at him. I just wouldnt go as long term as Moulson. 2 years? |

I like stewart, but its hard to say without knowing if hed sign a reasonable extension and/or if we could somehow get another first rounder for him. I think the gms around the league saw what a mess clarksons deal turned out to be. I believe hes making 4.25 now, dont expect that to go down. I suppose it will come down to term. I want no part of stafford, dont care if he plays for free. |

Perron has had more success recently where the other guys play has been slipping the last few years. Plus Perron has one more year left and isn't purely a rental. I could see how a 2nd, or 3rd and prospect could get them since they're just rentals. One things for sure you guys will surely get a few more picks coming your way. |

Griffin Reinhart is by far their best prospect
If I had to guess your moving Myers for him straight up or Stewart, Pysyk and give them back their first rd pick

Stewart has been just as productive for his last 20 games as Perron was his last 20 games as an Oiler
My guess is Staff and Stewart will each fetch a 2016 second rd pick |
