He is "available" but you will need to offer to put out to make it happen.

I don't think that Murray loves Myers, but he is just not going to give him away. So I do think he has always been available, but no one has met the asking price, yet. Murray has started this ball rolling a while ago and then the big pitches at the deadline will start rolling in. I have to think the Kings are looking to change something and this would be big. I know they don't have much cap room and don't want to give up younger current roster players, but if we agree to take Richards off their hand, maybe that helps swing the deal. Not saying I love that idea, but it could work if you are trying to move him and get prospect(s) and a 1st rounder (that could turn into a lottery ball too).

I agree totally. There are only a few players you would not move, but 5-6 seems like a lot too (cause if those players were moved for each other). Some may not be moved out of respect and the history with that team (Zetterberg, Datsyuk) but if someone did offer a crazy package (top 3 pick ++) the Red Wings would prolly do it.

Maybe Crosby, Ovechkin (due to his long term deal and the effects if he retired early, think Kovalchuck), but there are not many more I would not move (for the right price). I might have said like a Seguin, but he was traded, so I would lose there.

So like any deal, both sides would want to do that, but I don't think the Sabres do that.

The Penguins would take McDavid I am sure, I know it would be a little step back, but it would make their team better for a lot longer (6 or more years past Crosby, not to mention the salary difference).
