I am certainly going to allot him some time before I begin casting stones.

Mind you signing the top UFA dman would only replace what he brings untill our younger defenseman are truly ready. I want to sign someone like that to add to myers, risto.. ect.

I dont see it happening either, which is some of the reason i would like to see him stay and weigh our other options to generate more scoring. Pending the first pick and reinhart being ready our offense should get a boost from that too.

I still believe coaching is a massive problem and for this season that is OK. Nolan should and hopefully will be on a very short leash next season.

I'm going to circumvent the Myers part and state why I don't think it would happen from Edmonton's end.

It's rumored that Hall asked for a trade, but if I'm Edmonton, he's the guy I'm keeping to continue building around. If I'm their GM, I'm more inclined to trade RNH or Eberle before Hall. Obviously the talent drop off beyond them is pretty large.

I think they should focus on trying to get Yakupov right, so they can turn around and flip him for an upgrade on the back end. They need to focus on trying to at least get some production out of the guys they have that are there so they can figure out where they really need to improve.

But, that's just my $.02.
