That's beefy and actually a pretty good offer. Value is great but I'd rather have a top 6 forward prospect/young player able to get to top 6.

The sample trades on Hockey Hotline right now are hilarious. I know we're just kicking around ideas, but geez. Someone tweeted them this gem:

I can't see them dealing both Theodore and Gibson though, even if they are getting neuvirth back.


Palmieri, Kerdiles and a 1st is what i think the highest they'll offer is. The other Murray has never struck me as the kind of guy to trade his high end prospects unless he's absolutely sure they have no future with the team.

What worries me for Nolan's sake is he really Tim Murray's guy? Didn't the sabres hire Nolan before Murray? They did that all backwards.

Nolan resigned though after Murray took over... So Nolan could have walked and/or Murray could have let him go

It really didn't matter who was the coach this year and last given what the objective was. IMO he was a PR hire and will be gone when this team starts to compete.

But I think they won't, that was the point of my post. They're probably trying to maximize the gap between risk/reward.

Hat, I know you think he's poop, and on that I don't agree... nor do I agree that he's a perennial Norris candidate in the making. I just think there's no need to move him, and still think he can be something special on this team.

Murray won' t take prospects that aren't ready for Myers, he wants NHL player(s) IF HE DECIDES TO MOVE HIM. The media can't seem to figure that out, he has no reason to trade Myers.
