Another thing, my family business is giving a pair of diamond earrings away via VancityBuzz.com. Head over there if you want a chance to win your girl a nice set of diamond hoops. |

Oh, come on now. We all know that Lack should be captain...
... Or else traded for Kane's wet track suit.

Next you are going to try and tell me that Lack, Higgins and Kassian aren't going to be packaged for a top six... |

Went to the game game tonight - 1) that Kenins is a good young player 2) they refuse to shoot on the PP and get some garbage goals, everything must be pretty 3) that new kid on defense is so casual with the puck, needs to make quicker decisions! 4) Horvat is gaining confidence and he's gonna be a great top six center for this team for years to come. |

I was there as well and I have never had seats this close before. Saw all the little details that are so hard to spot sometimes and good lord the kid is smart. My second thought is that it is disgusting how few players finish their checks with any intensity. Dorsett, Kenins, Sbisa. That's it. Final thought, is that Brent Burns is absolutely the spark plug that makes that team so deadly to play against. If Virtanen can be anything like him we will be heading in the right direction |

So they would have won 7-1 with Tanev? Nobody would have helped us in that game. Sorry nucker |

If WPG wants him gone bad enough Kane could be had without picks/prospects. |

Does Kane have a NTC?
Regardless of the fact that Beening would probably be outbid by 28 other teams but, do you guys actually believe Jets management would go out of their way to send the kid exactly where he wants to go?
If anything i bet Cheveldayoff spite's the kid and moves him to the last team he would wanna play for like PHX or FL. Let Kane fade into obscurity. |

I'm with Nucker. Tanev would have single handedly beat Thorton into a pulp.
Maybe not, and we probably would have lost anyways, but we missed him last night. He's a small player but he leaves a big hole.
(Yeah yeah, beat Thorton, big hole...) |

Bo Horvat for Hanzal
A first and prospect for Vermette. Arizona is crazy if they think those deals are fair |

I doubt that he makes a move out of spite - he's going to want the best possible return. I'm in a agreement that the Canucks aren't likely to be able to offer the best deal, nor do I want Benning to. Since he seems to value character as much as he indicates, I think this would be a bad move. Plus, it seems like they want a top 6 forward back in return - who do we really have to offer?
Lets be honest here, this team is more than one oft injured player away from competing. I hope Benning can practice patience and allows our youngsters to develop together. |

Not a playoff team. - Marwood
SJ was just better than the Nucks last night. They're more skilled, end of story. That said, it'd be great for the younger guys to make and experience the playoffs.
Bo's line got a ton of ice in the third period and they were probably the best line for us last period, young legs! |

The Canucks just don't have those types of guys to bang and crash, it's not necessary to win but it is a useful tool to wear down the opposition.
SJ only had 11 hits last night and they won by four goals, Canucks I believe had 16. For entertainment value the Winnipeg game was better; a few different ways to win but the Canucks don't really have either...stuck in the middle.
Too old and washed out to be skilled anymore and to soft to bang and crash. Time to clean house!! |

Canucks problems
Over half the team did not have one bodycheck. Five players had one body check.
You have Vrbata as the only sniper. BOnino on occasion.
No hitting, no going hard to the net, no shots withing 15 feet of the net = no success.
Last night was a perfect example of why playoffs are useless and take the higher draft pick.
The PP is useless and our face off is terrible.
Aside from that we have. Pretty good team.
This team needs major changes. They were giving away tickets again yesterday at half price to students. People are just not going to watch this poop from the Vancouver Marshmellows.three more years of this is way too long |

I agree they NEED to make changes, which hopefully we'll see in the off-season, but it can only be done gradually (unless you hire Brian Burke).
Hits alone won't win you the game, SJ only had 11 hits last night with eight guys registering zero - all their skilled guys had zero hits. Thornton, Pavelski, Couture, Marleau, Hertl etc.
But they don't pass-up an opportunity to shoot the puck! Out of the gate they were out shooting the Canucks 12-3 or something like that. Our seats are on the opposition end and I watched the Nucks dink around on their first two power plays waiting for that one perfect shot, which never came, zero shots...(frank)in pathetic!! |
