I just watched the jets players reaction to Kane being benched.
Buff has a mouth full of chew on national TV, is that much better than showing up to a meeting in a track suit? I'm sure its not against team rules to be chewing in the dressing room or during interviews and I know a lot of guys do it but it seems strange to hear him spouting off about rules and discipline as he takes a dip.

If Benning traded for Santorelli unless it was a salary dump like burrows or Higgins I would be extremely pissed. It would be a big red flag to me.

Don't worry, it's one of the stupidest rumours I've heard in a long time. 0 chance that happens...trust in Benning

Booner - 3 rainbows on the fly rod yesterday, then switched to gear, 1 brown trout and 2 beautiful steelhead...another great day!

Damn...nice work. My trip was a fail...left early...big storm front moved in. Two days of scouting for clean water then snowed in...

So what are the pairings tonight?

Edler Weber
Hamhuis Sbisa
Stanton Clendening

Scary..... tonight Miller has a chance to prove me wrong and steal a game when the team needs it. I kinda hope WD opens it up and just tries to outscore a tired sharks team.

Id feel much more comfortable with Clendening with edler then weber, sure its only been two games with clendening but webers just awful

Too early to judge but my guess is Stanton Clendening is the only pair that is somewhat set, based upon them played together in the past.

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Hamhuis Edler get a lot of minutes.

Evander Kane for Ryan O Reilly should happen

Agreed. Should really be Hamhuis-Edler as the top pairing but a Weber-Sbisa pairing logging big minutes is scary in its own.

We'll just have to get through this spell of injuries.

Hopefully Benning will realize how important he is to the team now that he's out. But I'm sure everyone will talk about how they miss Bieksa's "intangibles" instead.

Why do people on here think that the organization doesn't like Tanev? That's ludicrous...he receives praise every game from the coaching staff. We can't tell whats going on with negotiations but speculating that they aren't going well is based on absolutley nothing. Perhaps tanev has told his agent he won't negotiate until the end of season. The fact you're with a small group of guys more than you're with your own family lends itself to problems arising from time to time. Players fight in practise for crying out loud, so they had a disagreement, big deal. The media will sensationalize it to whits end...players know it happens.
- LeftCoaster

I wonder if some players are difficult to deal with because their desire to win is so strong they come across as being bumholes.

I would be an bumhole too if my success (how much I get paid) was being hampered by unskilled line mates or a coach that had a personal problem with me.

I understand that Kane has personality issues but I would much rather deal with that as a coach than a player who doesn't take his opportunity seriously or continues to cause his own demise by engaging in off-ice stupidity (ie drug use).

Kane is just young and cocky. Kassian is just stupid.

I'll be there tonight so I'll take a pic if he does. We'll see if he lives up to his nickname. Maybe he should really be Little Joe

Benning could have locked him up long-term last summer and now the price will probably even be a but higher. I'm not saying they undervalue him for sure, but I'd bet good money that Benning likely values him more today than he did the day he took over.

Like any good manager you take time to evaluate your players, you don't walk in and immediately sign him to a deal you may regret. That's risky business.
