Yup.

Based on where we've finished before and since, the Leafs probably would have wound up with another top-10 pick... and there were some good ones that year.

But instead we got the mother (frank)ing goat.

- Feeling Glucky?

Yes we did. Another wasted draft pick.

Id be surprised if they do anything of significance. Nonis, doesnt seem like he can make big quality trades.
We'll pick up a couple of 2nds.

I'd like to see Phaneuf, Bozak, Gardiner moved.

If he becomes a good 3rd line center, yes.

But I think I might have liked Domi more.

Or Nurse to go with Rielly.

Good example, but a terrible move by Boston

It's actually interesting. Both players share a 0.59ppg record over their first three NHL seasons.

I'm not using this season only. I clearly stated outside of this season he's a 30 point guy.

This season he's getting a bump, and the only thing that's changed is his partner.

- Feeling Glucky?

Even if we go with your 30 point guy conclusion.
Last season 52 D had 30 points

Puts him on the top pairing range

but if you go by his actual production (43 points) he is in top 20

There's a deal with Nashville going down for sure.

Nonis met with Poile last night.

My guess is it'll be Franson for a B/C prospect and a 2nd, but we can always hope for more

Franson could easily get a 1st if Nonis knows what the hell he is doing.
I mean come on, Roy got a 1st not too long ago.

Ah ok, got my years mixed up. Thats right.
Gauthier could be a decent bottom six guy.

I think Kane can still become a consistent 30 goal scorer if playing with the proper center and of course an change in attitude. Seguin is a centerman and does not need a setup man. Different players. I like them both.

I hope they trade phaneuf to Nashville.
He'd actually play well as the 4th dman.

Gauthier will be a great 4liner, a defensive specialist with cement hands

except production isn't the only thing you look at in defensemen. 52nd in offense, and (frank)ing awful defensively. He gets points because he takes shots on the PP, and they either go in, or get a rebound. And that's great. But it's nothing MA Bergeron hasn't done.

Teams will pay for that kind of production, but it won't get you wins.

Yes, that is what he will be. He needs to improve his speed to play in the NHL
