Rantanen is a 6'4" C, but he's #10 in that mock. You think they should trade down a few spots in exchange for a replacement 2nd round pick?

tough question

Leafs will finally win tonight. I'm putting a little fitty on them. Law of averages. They are due.
- Champ

the game will end in a tie like last time and the same result will occur.

the Leafs are making me bipolar

Kind of makes sense. Most goalies don't get the job until they're 24.
- AdamFrench

Who starts an NHL game first: Garrett Sparks or Antoine Bibeau?

Plus they might have to wait if their behind a real good goalie.

Quick - Bernier

- Garnie

yes. it's very rare to see a situation like Price, who is at 400+ games at age 27.

There's a deal with Nashville going down for sure.

Nonis met with Poile last night.

My guess is it'll be Franson for a B/C prospect and a 2nd, but we can always hope for more

- TheThrill

we can only hope.... interesting to me though... why would Nashville need Franson, they have Weber and Jones playing 1st and 2nd pairing on the right side....

which leads me to speculate that is the Cheeseburglar that's being discussed.

with CapGeek no longer functioning... where can we find info on which teams hold picks in the upcoming draft? anyone know a source?

Pretty sure Pittsburgh doesn't do that

And I'd rather get picks

- TheThrill

They might. B. Sutter is basically Bozak with a weird reputation as being good defensively.

Exactly my thought.

And Garnie, live in the now. The east isn't built on size anymore, speed and skill rules this conference.

- BetterCallSaul

I don't agree but carry on.

Need some grit IMO, does Marner play with some? ( I haven't seen him play )

#6
Mitch Marner
Ht/Wt:5'10"/164 lbs
Position:C
Team: London (OHL)

ISS has Crouse 3rd, seems a bit of a stretch

- PinkSock

Great player, not a franchise stud C. Too small.

to me it shows how difficult it is to be an NHL goalie, and that there is no point of drafting them early

Well if Kessel goes the other way, then Jones will come back and we will need to include Franson.

Kessel and Franson for Jones and Nashville's 1st

Dear God,

Remember the '80's? Think you could help us out a bit, and swing a trade in our favor?

Sincerely,

Leafs Nation

I honestly thought he'd be better than what he is. He's not terrible, but he'd probably be a better winger than centre.

Also Jordan Staal is just laughably better.

The good news: Carolina, Arizona, Columbus are in range - bring Dylan Strome home!

The bad news: That 2nd LA has will be more like a late 1st

not the Leafs 2nd

If we keep Kadri - Nylander - draft Marner - seems like a small wimpy core

I don't think they will win, but they are a contender.
- Aetherial

Meh, I don't think they are in the top 5 teams that really have a chance
