How could they have gotten worse by winning that game? We might not have traded for the over rated Bernier?

There's a good chance the delusion would be even MORE ingrained than it already has been.

I don't know what you're talking about. That's ridiculous. The Leafs are cup contenders just having an off year.

Hanifin? Think Edmonton takes him.. You are gonna be stuck with Marner or Eichel.

Edit: by stuck, I mean that you will never let go of them

Of course we are..

Don't you remember that time, when he almost skated behind the opposition's goal to get the loose puck?

First half of tank and rebuild is stunningly successful
- Canada Cup

right the success of that tank is rooted in many years of terrible, terrible, management. like beyond terrible. it was almost a perfect storm:

- horrendous drafting for more than a decade
- undesirable market which lead to...
- terrible, terrible UFA signings
- succession of internal free agents walking with no compensation
- more terrible drafting
- Ron Rolston
- acquisition of ZERO impact players over a long, long period of time

when Murray got in there, there was nothing left. all he had to do was sell off Ryan Miller and a few spare parts and not acquire any players of real value over the summer.

im worried the sens might be able to out suck the leafs the rest of the way.
At least the leafs have played more games..also NJ is only 1 point up

could be a small win streak and the diff between 28th and 23rd

Yes. The 2nd rounder was used to get Bernier. That's what is happening.
