Maybe, but I would still offer Lupul, Bozak and Reimer for Kane and Hutchinson at the deadline.. Even if Kane misses the rest of the season - PatC80
Why on earth would Winnipeg take back like 11 million in salary of marginal players.
They are going to get a decent return, not a pile of crap from the Leafs.

So which troll do we think this is?
How long til this shows up on Ek's thread as an actual serious proposal from Leafs fans. - Aetherial
Sadly there is no parting with Clarkson is there....
Could you see some sort of trade scenario to get Kane for Lupul, can they trade from IR? |

At some point people should learn to understand that a bigger pile of crap is worth LESS than a smaller pile of crap. |

No one knows what they would accept for Kane... Plus, by all accounts, the Jets need help in their top 9. Hence, Lupul and Bozak.. |

honestly, the crappier the Leafs are, the less of an issue Clarkson is. if the Leafs are going to go through a rebuild in the next 2-3 years, cap space won't be a huge concern. and 3 years from now the deal will be mercifully nearing an end. |

Lupul and Bozak are help?
I would be surprised if they could get anything for Lupul (except maybe Mike Richards) or if they could get more than a third for Bozak AND take back an unwanted contract.
Reimer is a dime-a-dozen backup.

As long as they can make room elsewhere. Cap room can help you make some interesting trades.

Funny story out of Boston area!
Roxbury MA (AP) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Boston
courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who
should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his
parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping
with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be
maintained to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him
more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When
the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy
cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references
and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary
custody to the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom the boy firmly believes are not
capable of beating anyone.

their future #1, I don't think so. It will be the habs backup from last year that got traded to them in the fall. |

worth a watch if you buy any autographed stuff
http://www.tsn.ca/video/f...it-the-name-game-1.200794
17 fakes get certified by these companies.. what a joke.
I have been to the show in toronto many times..dont buy autographed stuff... but nobody should ever imo..if you dont see it getting done.. assume its fake - senstroll
Everytime one of these specials come up ...it's horribly over the top in terms of what's fake out there and what's not. I really don't think anybody is faking a johnny bower autograph for example....he is way too easy to get. |

I'd rather keep Lupul. When he is healthy he is still one of our best forwards.

Yes but they won't take Clarkson, maybe straight up for Gardiner |

I definitely think Winnipeg won't get a better offer than a marginally offensive dman who is perpetually confused in his own zone.
