Any young prospect coming into the NHL should start on the 3rd line.. Crosby and McDavid types would obviously be the exception.. But I wouldn't have any problems whatsoever with Nylander on the third line to start his NHL career.

I'd even say on the 4th line, if you use the 4th line as a legit hockey line.


They don't need to show that they can score from that position, IMO, just that they can properly get out of the zone, and drive the play towards the opposition's net. Bump them up/down based on that.

But a lot of it is based on website demographics and geo-targetting, not so much individual search preferences, especially because people use different computers, making it hard to know who's using what computer.

Idk.. Nylander on the ice with the Carcillos, Downies, Rinaldos of the league would worry me. I don't think he has anything to prove against plugs. But if like you say, it were a legitimate hockey line with players who can actually play sure... But I think the third line minutes would help with confidence etc..
