I find it ironic that I'm being referenced as the "idiot", yet you are the second person to say trading Petro is a horrible idea when quoting me. I never mentioned Petro at all.
Because I clearly said Boumesiter and Stastny were the two I had issues with.
But please continue... - Trust In Jarmo
I never said you said anything about petro. Your just an idiot in general. I was talking about the other people on here wanting to trade petro. The kids career has barely started and he is a number one d in this league.

Jaskin, Oshie, and Allen had good games. Jaskin couldn't be knocked off the puck tonight. Hate seeing Oshie blocking a puck while laying on the ice facing the shooter, dangerous. Good game Blues

I should not have posted so quickly after a loss as anger was still rising. Also should not have said Stastny and Bouwmeester need to go and possibly Petro.
What i should have said was that Bouwmeester has had a couple of poor games and it seems had some trouble skating, (as i mentioned in an previous post, he might be playing injured)
Stastny just has not shown me much. Sometimes i don't even realize he is out there. I understand that he was new to the organization and then was injured and was playing with different line mates every game to start the year. That contributed to his lack of success early and as of late has played better.
I realize that the Blues were in a terrible stretch of 8 games in around 14 days and 3 games in 70 hours or so and playing against 2 top teams in the league like Tampa and Chicago should never be considered easy.
I let my emotions take over that day as i saw sloppy play that i have not witnessed out of Bouwmeester.
Hopefully a good well rested team can show up tonight and The boys can get on the right track. - BluesDroogie
I understand the feelings well man. Everyone on here knows I let emotions get the best of me. According to my posts after last season's play offs I would never watch another NHL game again. I was describing a feeling more than stating a fact.
Jaybo did have some bad games and has tripped over his own feet more than normally. He looked solid tonight and that call was light considering all the stick infractions being let go most of the game against the Coyotes. Between Smith and the poor officiating that game score was closer than it should be.
Stastny makes his fair share of mistakes but the dude has been solid minus the first weeks back from injury. So far he is far from a bad investment.
It happens man. No worries.

Jaskin is playing an amazing game tonight. - Antilles
Yeah he and that overpaid centerman have some kd of chemistry. So good that Berglund looked great as well. That could be some line especially in the play offs. Let them worry about Tarasenko while the other two lines crush'em.
Allen let in a softie but then looked solid.
That was one of the best games in a lng time I have seen Jackman play!!! He kept stepping up and bing aggressive much better than backing in. I hope to see that Jacks more often. |

Not in 2015. But by about 2017 you will. - Trust In Jarmo
Jarmo has pretty much just inheritted an array of talent. Now let's see how he manages it. He just signed a good player having a career year to a big, lng contract and that kid is getting long in the tooth for the NHL. Where will Folingo be playing in the Jackets line up when the kids start coming in andthe team is healthy? I mean you do not honestly think that Columbus even when healthy is superior to the Blues? Recall the Garborik signing? I recall some of us mentioning his health and the same with the guy who is pretty much going to retire. So when you throw those stones just look over the Blues and see those healthy players they signed while they are playng in the play offs this year. For you it is just like some years back here all over again. Both your teams will not play into the summr this year. |

It's crazy. He busted out like 5 blogs in 5 days, then goes into witness protection and disappears.
Anyone think we are catching Nashville this year? They keep winning and it looks like a 1st round matchup again against the Blackhawks. Still time for things to change though.... |

I still think they can pass Nashville. I'm certainly holding out hope they can.
The Blues are deeper and can get reliable goaltending from both of their guys, where Nashville is going to ride Rinne all the way.
If the Blues end up with Chicago in the first round again, I don't like their chances. |

Jets just got Myers Stafford Armia and Lemiuz for Bogo and Kane
I dont want to face the JEts either but I would rather face anyone in the first round not named Chicago
My relationship barely survived last years series |

We need to go through Chicago Nashville and Anaheim to get any kind of respect in the league in my mind.
If we go through Winnipeg Calgary and San Jose I feel everyone will still question us. |

Meh. Whomever you end up going through in the Western Conference is going to be formidable. I don't really worry or care about how others view the Blues. It's playing whose on the schedule.
Winnipeg doesn't scare me. I don't care to deal with Chicago or Anaheim, I just don't want to have to deal with them in a first round matchup.
The Blues really need the playoff revenues that come from a long playoff run, the franchise is not viable long term if these early exits keep happening.

I'm surprised to hear you say you wouldn't want to face the Ducks.
The Ducks haven't had much recent playoff success.
Wouldn't you be more worried about facing the Kings and Hawks?
What concerns you about a possible Ducks /Blues matchup? |

The are similar to the Kings with their size up front. Blues have not fared well against them in recent years.
They don't really have an answer for Ryan Getzlaf.
I have my fingers crossed that the Kings won't even make the playoffs this year. |

I didn't know the Ducks own you guys. Makes sense.
Even though that kid had a great playoff run last spring...the Goaltending is not that great as of now.
And the other thing with the Ducks....I don't think they will out coach the opposing coach period to period or shift to shift like The Kings have proven to do. |

Good points. The Ducks do have good size.
The Kings have been horrible. But being just 3 points out of the final spot right now.
I hope they sneak in because they have proven to get it done as an 8th seed in 2012 and a 6th best overall record in te Western Conference in 2014.
I'm hoping Richards comes back in a month or two with more confidence and a fire under his ass for a late season run. Richards has been huge in both Stanley cup playoff runs. Also, curious to see what Dean Lombardi does before the trade deadline.
If the Kings don't make it....it's wide open. With the hawks as the lead dog going into the playoffs. |

Kings will not make it this year. They are terrible. The have won mostly because of vast amounts of luck. Like matching up against San Jose and coming back. That team was fragile. The last time the played the Blues they were squeaking out wins thanks to the post, Berglund choking and a crappy goal by Elliott.
I do not fear Chicago. They are also showing to be weak.
Anaheim has tremendous depth up front, their defense is shakey and their goaltending is decent but not great. I do not fear the Ducks in the play offs. After one line there is lots of youth. Young players and pressure. That team is like Nashville very lucky in close games andover times. No more wins with four on four over timehockey for Nashville and the Ducks in the post season. Five on five. They play catch up the entire game and will be tired in the extra time. Their mobile defenses make them superior in four on four overtimes to most teams.

It is basically over with man. We have superior depth this year to all of those teams. Chicago cannot stand a forecheck on Keith and Seabrook in a series. Last year they got lucky and faced a decimated Blues team and still could not compete until they took out Backes who was flying in that series.
They try it this year and unless we have four of the top nine inured again or playing severly hurt or a goaltender who was having mental issues. No the Hawks are done. They are fading and the cap will crush them next season.
The Kings are solid but have extraordinary puck luck in he play offs the last three years. Unless Voynov beats his charge...lol..get it beats his charge and is able to get back into game shape they lack depth. |

Remeber the first series the Kings took Petro out as well. So two of the years the opposition has targeted a player. Perhaps Baces will get his revenge and bury either Seabrook or Keith. I swear the last few games he has been looking for some evens. Maybe Backes will cross the line and pay back the garbage Hawks. |

So sad the Sabres fans and the media are telling them they won that trade.
The Sabres have recently received, over the years, other first round wingers who scored a lot and then faded by the time the Sabres got them--Boyes and Stewart.
The only thing good for the Sabres was jetting Meyers for Bogosian. Otherwise the Sabres have paid dearly for a dressing room cancer hoping he grows up and somehow learns to stay healthy. Hopefully the Jets get the thirtieth pick. |
