Anaheim might give up way more then I post for Myers and go after Kane! Maybe even better for Kane! So I don't see it happen for Vancouver unless they offer Virtanen or Bo Horvat to make it happen! - jimboscore1
Sure, but is moving three former 1st round picks and one of the league's better goalie prospects......not to mention this years first for Kane a little overdone.
It would be one step forward, one step backwards in my view. Five youthful assets for one injury prone baby, no thanks.

According to Garth's Corner...this is what's going on.

Let's talk about the compensation. At what price Myers to Anaheim?
Bob Murray would have to surrender power forward Nick Ritchie, his 2014 1st rounder (10th overall). He will also have to part with a young D in either Sami Vatanen or Hampus Lindholm. The name of goalie prospect extraordinaire John Gibson has also entered the Myers trade chatter. Adding Gibson to the deal would take Vatanen or Lindholm out of the deal. Tim Murray has two pending UFA goalies in Enroth and Neuvirth. He would be wise to want to take possession of Gibson. There likely will also be an exchange of first round picks. Buffalo would send either oif the St. Blues or NY Islanders picks to Anaheim in the deal.
Tim Murray now has real leverage to use on Bob Murray because of the Evander Kane trade possibility.
The Winnipeg Jets sent their Assistant GM and a scout to Buffalo on Thursday night to watch Buffalo play St. Louis. Winnipeg is said to be very interested in trading Kane for Myers as part of a trade package. Bob Murray has invested months of scouting and recon into Myers. I see this as the reason why Bob Murray and Tim Murray have reportedly moved their talks to the next level. |

Who ever said Eddie was on the market??? That really seems like something Team1040 dreamed up on a slow news day and the story stuck. - Beatle_john
If Lack or Markstrom isn't on the market then Benning's an idiot. |

The way I look at Kane is we need a player like him in the worst way.. We can all talk about all his attitude issues and what not but nobody really knows the full story.. Seguin was a head case too apparently.. Our locker room needs a Kane.. They're stale, old and comfortable.. We need a culture change.. And I'm not talking about him coming in and starting fights, but he has a ego and edge that our team desperately lacks.. He's 23 not 33, you don't think if we got Kane and he sat down in front of Trevor linden the guy every Vancouver kid looked up to growing up he'd listen?? ... I'm not saying give up the farm for him but if the asking price is reasonable and as mentioned not including Bo, virtanen and mcann.. Then the risk is worth the reward without a doubt to me... |

Here's the poll question Bieksa3...
Do you think the Canucks should try to trade for Evander Kane?
Carol only suggests it could mean a player like Viratanen in the blog. You've completely turned the poll into a different question entirely. |

And also...Jensen, Kassian and Markstrom don't seem to play like first around pick! So it seem a lot but not really! There're not close to Kane caliber! |

I wouldn't even offer that. Mathias, Hansen and Kassian. Is it enough? Probably not. |

Apart from the shortened season he has yet to play over 74 games, at 23 years old.

Yes. Booth. Beware of 23 year old offensive players. They could be the next Booth. Stay clear.

Yes he did, if you read my post i said nothing is guaranteed. This doesn't mean full recoveries can't happen. But one would be a fool to make a huge trade for a player that may not be as good after. |
