Shink + Kassian..ideally I'd like to keep Kassian if I acquire Kane though - Nucker101
I would do that deal. Maybe even add a goalie in exchange for a later pic if the Jets made it the sticking point. |

45% in favor of moving Virtanen for Kane? There better be no nuck fans want that - Bieksa#3
there's no way Jimbo slice gets rid of any of the prospects he drafted, especially not his first pick as GM of the Canucks. Jake is gong nowhere, and although he was GMMG's pick, same goes for Bo, he's proved to be too valuable and a consummate professional even at 19.
If a package of Shink/Lack or Markstrom/ 20 16 1st rounder could get it done, then I'd be on board
As suggested in many posts, Trading Virtanen, Horvat, McCann, or this years first rounder should be out of the question. |

I know that's why it's fun reading rumors! But I think Vancouver should run for Home Boy Kane! |

Yes. Booth. Beware of 23 year old offensive players. They could be the next Booth. Stay clear. - boonerbuck
Why don't we just trade every prospect we have for kadri and Clarkson. Kadri has proven to be a better offense player and clarkson is physical. Bam, we did better then Kane.
For you who steady complained about keslers attitude and to want this guy is amazing. |

Yes he did, if you read my post i said nothing is guaranteed. This doesn't mean full recoveries can't happen. But one would be a fool to make a huge trade for a player that may not be as good after. - Retinalz
His value is the lowest possible it can be. It would be the best time to trade for him. |

At 23 years of age he will be our future - pker2theend
I would be extremely hesitant to built a team around Kane. I just don't see him as one of those cornerstone players. Granted, we have no idea what the cost is but still, you got to think it will require the likes of a Horvat, Virtanen, Top 10 pick.
It's odd that most of the guys riding tank nation are on one hand advocating for a 5 year rebuild and yet so quick to re-tool on the fly.

Exactly, and realistically it will require one of them.
If that turns out to be the case and Benning pulls the trigger i'm going to throw my (frank)ing jersey in the shower |

What would it take for the Canucks to get Kane, if they do want to trade for him. Would a package of Higgins or Hansen, Gaunce, Jensen and '16 1st round pick be enough or fair? |

Just trying to be realistic, even with Kane being a headcase I'd imagine they'll still be some sort of bidding war for him since he doesn't have a NTC clause and players with his skill set and ability don't always become available. I'd definitely prefer trading Kassian instead of the 2015 first though. |

if that trade was done, fast forward a couple years.... a line of Horvat/ Virtanen/ Kane would be a motherfranker to play against..... |

A '16 1st? Take a look at our team. If Kane scores 25 we still finish bottom 10 next yr. |

I never complained about Keslers in locker room attitude. I complained about his on ice antics. I had no idea ever what Kesler was like off the ice... nor have I commented(except for the Schneider thing which is something much bigger than hockey) Your mind always seems to make jumps with this stuff... much like the poll question, you insert how you rationalize into other people's posts. Not everyone makes these leaps when reading a few sentences,,, or in this case... a single one.
You are on a roll today. Can't read a poll question and are imagining poop in the past.

That works too, if the Jets prefer a guy like Hansen/Higgins/Matthias. But I'm assuming they'd prefer quality over quantity so I think Kassian plus 1st or Kassian + Shinkaruk gets it done.
Also to everyone who keeps suggesting the goalie involvement, the Jets finally are getting decent goaltending this year and have a pretty good goalie prospect coming up(one of the top goalie prospects). So Lack or Markstrom would be more of a throw-in for them, if anything at all. |

Funny how without Kesler this team is still poop.....LA is a team full of douches, as is Boston and they have seen lots of success. I think the locker room stuff only is brought up when you are losing and then is overrated as an excuse.
Coincidence that this Kane drama occurred during a 5 game losing streak.
Kesler goes from the guy with the most heart to a cancer and POS.
Luongo goes from best goalie to ever of played here to a selfish bum. - belcherbd
I have never in all my years on here stated that Kesler had heart. I have always thought he was a diving, pouting diva who only cared about himself.
Luongo made his own bed and I have little if any sympathy for him.
Stop putting words into peoples mouths. |
