I have never had cancer so I wouldn't know .

But she fixes everything else with me.

I will give you a small example. I use to get bad heartburn and was on pills that were not good for the stomach. Since I have been going to her, I have no more heartburn and am off the pills.

That was through acupuncture. That is why I asked her what else it fixes.

Anyways enough of medicine talk , I am no doctor so that's all

- VANTEL

That's good it helped you. Chinese medicine is great for little things like heart burn or whatever else...if it works. But unless it's a last resort, I would not rely on it to cure cancer. I've seen people with curable cancer use only Chinese medicine and they died. Makes no sense to not use traditional cancer treatments that have a 90% effective rate (in that case) for something that is not proven.

I get an email from the big guy about twice a year. The guy is a wreck, too bad.

He's gonna party hard until he drops.

Frenchy still blogs, and I see Ray now and then.

That's about it.

Weird than that China would have such a high mortality rate for cancer patients.
- golfingsince

I can only go by what I see works for me and people close to me. I think part of the cancer problem in China is their smoking habits , their air quality and the affordability to treat it.

Agin I am not proclaiming to be an expert , was merely suggesting to explore other options .

Numb nuts turned it into a pissing contest.

Canada has a higher percentage of people getting cancer than China, yet less people die of it.

Alternative medicine may work for some, but you tend to only hear about the success stories.

Diet is preventative more than curative, but it can't hurt to eat well.

Chemotherapy is by far the most effective tool to combat cancer.

I've only seen the Bonz once or twice in the past couple of years. I get to see Whip fairly often which is always entertaining.

Ya, poor Newf. He really did liven up this place.

If I ever get it I will try everything including shoving motor oil up my ass if that what fixes it

I had a pain in my back and right arm about a month ago and went to the clinic here. Doctor told me it was inflamed muscles , gave me muscle relaxers that did nothing.

Went to the Chinese medicine she took my pulse on my arm looked at my tongue and said it is poor blood circulation and started the accupuncture . Next day 60 % of pain was gone. Still going and improving weekly

I go to acupuncture for ailments like golfers and tennis elbow, works like a charm. Physio is a waste of time imo. Chiro and acupuncture work much better for me.

i leave medical advice to doctors. that's the difference between me and you.

i may come across as an a@@hole but it doesn't mean what i've said isn't true. keep your dumb medical opinions to yourself.

this may very well be true.
- RealityChecker

It is true but you had to come in and react when someone was genuinely trying sympathetic and not stating in any way that he was learned in the subject that one should only be openminded to any and all treatments available. People like you are the type I avoid in my everyday life. Vantel on the other hand was being caring and empathetic to a situation that hits close to home for him. You are a puke social vampire.

you really are dense aren't you? you found one source and i won't even bother attacking it but it really is easy to. you think i could find a source or two about people who tried eastern medicine before realizing too late that it was a mistake? see steve jobs.

that's the problem. you are casually recommending these alternatives as genuine treatments. this gets passed around and multiplied. combine this with the distrust of traditional medicine/big pharma and people take your casual advice seriously.

cancer is serious and for you to throw out weed and acupuncture so carelessly just shows the depth of your thinking.

- RealityChecker

Perhaps this is not the appropriate forum for this discussion. Even if anyone on her was qualified to give a medical or alternate treatment assessments, the hostility in the discourse is unwelcome. Let stop.

not good. So while shes taking radiation and Chemo pills, Its what worries me the most. Her Immune system really needs to be strong.

She also suffers from depression, not a good combination. But over the last week since she's been taking this THC oil. Her appetite is improving every day

- vancity787

That's good about the THC oil helping. As for the depression there is a book called Dr. Hsu's Guide to Surviving Cancer that I was told (by someone currently battling cancer) really helps them with the mindset/motivation so might be helpful

RC has just as much right to his opinions as anyone else on here.

Just because some people live here doesn't mean they own the place.
