I don't think it's a huge stretch but I think maybe you guys will get a late first early second(maybe a contender acquired in a trade) and MAYBE a B level prospect. Anything more than that to me is an overpayment. - Cptmjl
The issue is they don't have to move him and are not looking to move him. A deal will have to blow Murray's socks off to get him to trade him. He wants NHL ready players. Picks and B level prospects aren't going to get it done IMO.

I don't think they'll get mantha or anything like that but I think Murray will get good value, to the point that you would consider is an overpayment.
I don't think he'd entertain any of these negotiations for this long unless they were offering something semi-substantial. A 1st and a B prospect is probably an easy no for him.

Yes we get it thats why he is staying in buffalo when there are other D on the market that can be had for cheaper and potentially be just as good.

Yandle is gonna cost as much if not more to get IMO.
Mantha and Nash are different types of players. - sbroads24
You don't know that and can't possibly know that.
I'll take the scout's opinion over yours any day of the week.
Mantha's potential:
8. First-Line Forward/ No. 2 Defenseman / No. 1 Goaltender – players with definite skill that might be just a cut below elite status, but still possessing All-Star potential.

If he's so great i don't understand the want to trade him? For an overpayment to help your team long term? I think that's an unrealistic expectation on the return which make these constant blogs all the more stupid. If you guys think he's a top pairing defenseman(which I've read on here countless times)why trade a young, "top pairing" defenseman when those very players are impossible to acquire in the NHL? Makes zero sense and even if you say bcs we are going to get an over payment it still doesn't make any sense. What's an overpayment? A late first and an "A" level fwd prospect? Is that the going rate for a "top pairing" defenseman? This is why these blogs get slammed by other fan bases bcs of exactly what I described here. None of it makes ANY sense.

There is a reason he went 20th and not top 10. Care to guess why?
"Pure and simple, Mantha is a goal scorer. He has a great frame that he uses to fight through traffic, solid puck awareness and offensive positioning, all topped off with a heavy wrister that he can fire off quickly and smoothly. For a player of his size, he skates very well but needs to keep his feet moving and work hard on both sides of the" puck.

IMO there is no want to trade him from Murray. Teams call and he listens. When the team is in the shape it's currently in, there is no untouchables as any and all options to improve the team should be explored.
He's worth more than an at best 7th defenseman. - dadeadhead
Who is giving you something for enroth? Hes a ufa who has a limited track record, career save percentage is league average, and i think its reasonable to say that he plays better with regular work- which doesnt make him an ideal backup. No playoff team is looking for him to be anything but a backup, im guessing they will look elsewhere. At least gaunce would help the organizations depth, which drops off behind mccabe or ruhwedel, as opposed to the fourth/fifth rounder. This is on B00s btw.
