Ha! Again, it doesn't have to be Grossmann, but come on.
I'm not saying it's gonna be the Wild West on March 2 -- it's actually been pretty quiet the last few TDLs
But I'll just have to see it to believe it that a team like Calgary just says, "(frank) it, we're not gonna do anything and just take our chances of getting caught from behind by the Kings" - AllInForFlyers
i understand. but trades are just all too dead anymore. i really think everyone is so afraid of having to answer the set of questions that would follow the next kessel for seguin type deals.
everyone is very timid. and the cap forces people to lock people up before they hit the unknown crazy markets in FA. |

this can be a good thing
I hated seeing Gagne in Bruins colors
I can't imagine Brodeur playing for anyone but NJ

I've said from the beginning that Mason was one of the 3 players the Flyers can ill afford to be without for an extended period of time.
The other two are G and Jake.
Without those 3 players, they are in the McDavid sweepstakes.
I don't think Claude Giroux has it in him to just tank. I laugh at the people that don't think he's a good captain. He's twice the captain that Mike Richards was, IMO.
And I liked Mike Richards. - johndewar
Giroux basically willed this team into the playoffs last year. It's ridiculous that idiots say he's not a good captain. Asinine. The guy plays his ass off, is as productive as anybody in the world and he plays well in the clutch.

The cap being stagnant has not helped. |

It makes me nuts, really. He's been amazing this year and even last year, after he got over that injury.
He has been exactly what we say we all want. |

as do i. i think its important for every team to have a few of those. but i do still think that trades are fun. trades are more fun to me than FA signings. |

I saw a tweet today from some supposed Flyers super fan saying he's seen enough of Mason.
Let me remind you Mason was shutting out the Caps begore he got hurt. This team truly has some incredibly stupid fans. |

I don't know what more the guy could do. He works hard, does whatever is asked of him, never ducks the media, shows personality, leads the NHL in scoring over the past 5 years...I don't get it |

It truly saddens me to see Zac Rinaldo defended and Claude Giroux questioned
That's Philadelphia, though -- boo Mike Schmidt, love Aaron Rowand |

I had partial season tickets last year and my entire section was convinced we should trade Coots for Ryan Miller.
I've stopped going to games. |

Yeah, but Giroux does get his nose dirty. He's more Bobby Clarke than Richards was! |

I wouldn't be surprised if Hextall was timid himself after the Hartnell for Umberger trade. It's starting to shape out a little but no matter how you want to look at it, he still took from the top line for a player at virtually the same price who was set to possibly be bought out and might not be anything more then a third line player now. I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse but Hartnell is doing with the Jackets exactly what I expected him to do here and there was no rush to move him. |

Yeah respecting the hard working gritty grinder is fine, but celebrating him while booing the franchise guy or future HOFer is moronic. |

Mike Modano, Daniel Alfredsson, Adam Foote and Jerome Iglina I kinda feel bought a little shape to their legacy by moving to another team. I would be heart broken if we lost Claude Giroux at any point within his career. |
