I hear you Jsaq. And you are right. But just speaking for myself, I would be willing to sacrifice at least 5-7 years of competent, competitive level play for that one Championship.

I think people are annoyed because they saw this coming 3 years ago, but the Phillies didn't.

The saddest part about the team is that they don't even have the players in the organization yet that will be a part of the next winning team. Those players haven't even been drafted yet. Thats how far away they are.

Also, I think that Hamels, if he stays (unlikely) could still be a top-3 pitcher for them whenever they right the ship.

Hard to say as I was far from being born when Philly went back to back, but I feel as though I would just like one cup win within my lifetime. I would even be partially satisified overall had they won in '97 despite my age at the time. 2010 would have been it
