Well you know those 2 won't be joining the same team now.

I have no expectations to beat Montreal but regardless of who is in net beyond that game on Tuesday, I think we could beat the Sabers and Jackets twice in a row each.

Good point. I don't think the Jets would want to trade Buff anyway. He's a nice piece to build around back there for the next few seasons and they're a playoff team now.

Kane doesn't even fit what this team needs. They need a playmaking/sniping 2nd line LW. For the rumored cost give me Oshie or Eberle. They'll help this team far more than Kane will.

I wouldn't trade Brayden Schenn plus for Evander Kane. Schenn might not be an offensive force like Giroux or a solid shut down two way like Couturier but he plays both center and wing and could fill in anywhere within the top six. This is what makes him an important player. Kane just plays the wing, costs a lot and hasn't lived up to his price tag in a while.

Agreed -- you can fake it with Raffl on L1, but the real need is somebody to help either Couturier or Simmonds score consistently at ES, and I don't think Kane is that kind of player

I think Kane could be a really good fit. He's got size, speed and he's physical. I think he'd be a good fit on a line with Giroux and Voracek, Couturier & Simmonds or even some kind of combination of those-say with Couturier & Voracek.

I wouldn't go a ton higher than Brayden Schenn and a prospect, unless the Jets added more.
