saw you said you were playing tonight.
how'd it go? - stayinthefnnet
haven't skated in two weeks and i'm coughing up bronchial tissue, but i felt great, and played great until the wheels fell of the cart a bit in the third. got very little help in front. goals came off of 3, 4, save scrambles....and we lost. the most aggravating part was taking a very solid 2-0 lead, almost, into the 2nd period, with 15 seconds left and their guy kicks the puck in off a low angle net drive. they counted it, the game turned after that and we never got it back. oh well, on to the next one.

maybe i just subconsciously really want summer - stayinthefnnet
Saw the first Phillies TV show Comcast has done this season. Ricky Bottallico sounds about as pissef at the front office as anyone. Should make for entertaining TV.
Yeah, I get it, but $1 & 1/5 mill a year less you say?
Oh man, we are in 2015, c'mon now.
Defensemen that play fairly high minutes, with low turnover rates for $3.5 mill you say? - puckhead17
Here's a list of players that make less then Amac, tell me if you would take Amac over any of these guys.
Kronwall - 4.75mil
McDonagh - 4.7mil
Shattenkirk - 4.25mil
Voynov - 4.1mil (say what you will about his off the ice issues, that's not what we're debating)
Hjlamarsson - 4.1mil
Giordano - 4mil
Josi - 4mil
Hedman - 4mil
Seidenberg - 4mil
Fowler - 4mil
Staal - 3.9
Carlson - 3.9
I could go on but I think you get the point. Every name on that list I think brings a lot more to the table than Amac and for a much better price tag.
I couldn't imagine going though one, (although I've thought about it), let alone multiple ones.
Snider must have a courtroom right in his mansion. - puckhead17
I forget which comedian said it, but he was right.
It's like having your wallet pulled away from you, but first, it passes through your body simultaneously through your heart and your balls.
He stocked you guys with some nice defensive prospects, (I thought).
For an offensive minded team, thats pretty good.
Honestly, you guys didn't need to draft too many wingers for a while, just put crap on Syd, or Gino's wing & get at least 20 goals.
Really, when you look at him, vs. Holmgren...................Why is he unemployed? - puckhead17
eh. morrow turned out to be pretty blah.
and i get that mentality, and for as much as it works in the regular season, it becomes very glaring in the playoffs. there needs to be balance.
but yeah, he doesnt necessarily deserve to be unemployed. i dont think he will be for too long.
and homer, yeah. its been discussed on here many times, but i dont think he was absolutely awful. i still think some of his bad moves were influenced by ownership and just a commitment to always just try to make a splash. it doesnt require a lot of thought to come up with his blunders, but at the same time there are some good moves that need to be acknowledged too.

You say that and you're just trying to hurt me, aren't you?

thanks, i can use that. have been thinking of buying my first fire arm. that's enough reason to push me over the line.
more importantly, why do you have a photo of a shirtless CSP?
as one who lived through many vermont and minnesota winters, i feel like i'm getting a little payback right now, especially after that poop show winter we had last year when a tree fell across my driveway and we lost power the day of the move. i share my weather as more of an incentive, to encourage, rather than to injure.

As a STH, I did not like the news of Peter Luukko's departure.
All jokes about drafting his kid aside, Peter Luukko did really great things for this franchise.
As someone who has lived in corporate America for 20 years, it seems to me that Luukko is an obviously talented guy who can pull deals together. I respect the hell out of him and was sorry to see him go. The Florida franchise is lucky to have him and if anyone can make that franchise go, it's Luukko.

yeah. tough way to lose, but at least getting back out there again and moving around made you feel a little bit better physically.

You're talking about Shero, right?
What was the number of Pens draft picks that actually made it to NHL action his last few years again? I completely understand why he is out of a job.
