Foligno + Stafford + 1st?

Two NHL players and a 1st. They get now and future?

Stafford/Foligno, Armia/Grigorenko, and one of the later 1sts is what it will take to land E Kane.


It may or may not be an over payment but it is what it's going to take unfortunately.

If some think otherwise, would you/they take Stafford, Foligno, and a very late 1st for Myers?

Trade two 2nds and a B prospect for Patrick Sharp.

Sign Jonny Oduya to a 3 year 12.5 mil deal.

I wouldn't take Kane for Myers straight up, so that logic doesn't work.

That may do it but I thought they were looking for defense? That is a better package and would help their depth up front though.

That looks pretty damn good actually.

Might get a better offer from someone else. There will be plenty of teams calling we'll probably have to overpay to get him.

That's what I'm thinking. It's a more believable trade especially if they're looking for help now but there will probably be better offers. If that's the best from Eastern conference teams they may take it just to get him out of their conference. Depends on how bad the situation really is i guess.

I've been saying it!!!

Murray has the pieces to make it happen. Still has good prospects coming up. Plus would still have 2 1sts this year. Start building the depth on the blue line for the future and find a goalie.

What I just put looks like a playoff team on paper. They could miss it due to the obvious growing pains but that's a real NHL team

It unfortunately is the reality of what it will take.

You wouldn't do it which is fair enough.

I was under the impression that their strong suit was the back end. I mean it was posted here they have the best top 4 in the league outside of Nashville......

I could be wrong but, I remember reading that the Jets didn't want a D man back for Kane.

I honestly don't know a whole hell'uva lot about them to have a trust worthy opinion but I thought I read they were looking for defense? I could be wrong.

I like it but 2 things: are we on sharps thanks but no thanks list and is 2 2nds and a b prospect enough? I know they are cutting it close with the cap but sharp is still a valuable asset

they do have the one man party.. Adam Pardy..

but they do have some pretty good D. Bogosian, Trouba, Enstrom and Mark Stuart

Laziness does that to a player, they need to get rid of Hodgson. There is going to be no room for him, let Gringo play.

Last sentence is key, I think are a year ago they'd just wait it out but it sounds like they are just about ready ro cut their losses and move on from him.

That's what I thought but i'm sure things can change.

Wild lost forwards Zucker and Carter last night. Maybe looking for a forward. Would you think they would take Staff and Grigs for Tuch, and would you do it?

Staff has a home in Minny and I believe his wife is from there.
