I'm surprised he's just not getting it. I heard that his father must be on his case as well.

He's going to be out quite a bit of cash if he doesn't smarten up. |

All a 2 way contract means is that the player makes x amount if in the NHL and a less x amount if in the NHL.
He'd have to clear to be sent down and you only can bury 925k of a players contract.

I was thinking a no movement clause.

Part of the reason he's not scoring is lack of shots. The reason for lack of shots os poor/borderline no puck possession. I could take or leave Hodgson, but with the right linemates, preferably at least one that can hang on to the puck, he should do better.

Play in his own end is what's criticized. He wants the puck and has offense on his mind, only doesn't do his part in getting the puck. |

On a team that was as bad as Buffalo last year. Its pretty damn good.
Add - Ennis is on pace for 44 points this year. Does he suck too? Its not good enough for being a 1 dimensional guy. - ImThatGuy
Personally, I think Ennis is great trade bait and nothing more. Mini-fenigenov. I loved Max, though. Max was nuts.
Ennis is a nice complimentary player and he does hit occasionally, dangles like Roy too much and holds onto the puck too long. He isn't a playmaker, he isn't a sniper and I just don't see much from him other than 50p a year which is nothing to sneeze at, I admit. His contract is nice, and he at least tries to be defensively responsible.
Basically, he is what he is and there is no reason to complain about him. Good contract, decent numbers and good effort almost every night. Hence why Hodgson is complained about and Ennis isn't. Two extremes. |

I dont really think anybody is after a 10 shot night.
I didn't really mind his checking play he made to feed Stafford Saturday. That seemed really out of character for him. But it ended up in a goal. So be it.

If he gets the puck he doesn't do anything with it anyways.
So it's a lose lose. |

He did last year. Thats the frustrating thing. His shot total is way down though, which leads me back around to my original point. No one is feeding anyone the puck on this team right now...

The players are never near the pass from their team mate. It happens all game long

They just throw the puck anywhere. They all do it. How do you single out a player to bench?

Notice I didn't single out Hodge in my post. The teams passing is the worst. |

when he does shoot it is some crappy half arsed shot from the blue line that floats in or hits the defenders shin guards and goes in the corner.. the guy has no confidence |

Goal scorers are supposed to score.
Checkers are supposed to check.
Teddy summed it up quite well I thought here.

Not so sure about that. He'll get his buyout money PLUS get to sign a new contract elsewhere |
