And they should be, unless the GM have talked to the player being rumored (request etc.) I am sure they are not going to go public and say hell yeah we wanna trade that guy or we have been shopping that guy.

Just think what you would get out of that player until he was traded, he might resemble Cody Hodgson.

Players on playoff teams seem to be getting hurt lately, Zucker, Hall, Mason, a few D men on the Kings. Should help the Sabres in the coming weeks.

a GOOD Prospect (not sure about Hurley or Baptiste)
your picks sound about right.
I'd say no dice on adding Meyers, personally. They're also set at D. So they probably would too.

I know Hurley isn't exactly the "hot" prospect they'd want. But he was a recent high 2nd round pick with a lot of potential and size at center (which they need) Baptiste especially last year and a bit this year has played much better than where he was drafted and is considered a pretty high prospect. The highest prospect I'd go would be maybe Justin Bailey..

Not getting rid of Fashing, Risto, Zadorov, Compher, Lemieux, Reinhart, Girgenson's
Also not crazy about losing Armia so I don't know who else would get it done.. Grigerenko maybe..?

I don't know much about there prospects or AHL team but I like Mark Scheifele, they won't move him but I think he could be a good player. I know he's a center and that might cause a log jam.

They are incredibly weak at center so I doubt they'd give up their best one.

Best bet is

St Louis 1st Foligino (Who I'm not crazy about giving up) and a prospect that I'm not sure who that would be.

Foligno would be a start, IMO Stafford or Stewart won't get it I don't think. Question is, what other teams can beat the Sabres offer ? The Sabres want Kane that's for sure.

I think Foligno has a lot of clout in the league. He's a big power forward who on the right team can score a lot of goals. He's showed that in glimpses here and when he's not been injured this year he's played pretty decently all things considered. Change of scenery might be well for him but I'm not giving him up and a top A prospect. B or B+ guy Baptiste, Hurley maybe Bailey though not crazy on giving up the latter. Because he actually sounds a lot like Kane.

Before the season started I could see a Hodgson 1st and Foligno deal but Stewart will 100% be traded at deadline. Right now he's Murray's top trade asset that he's actively trying to move.
