I wasn't excited for Lemieux when he was drafted but this year he is on fire but the three pieces the Sabres would get would be huge and I will believe if I see it.

Stafford Armia Lemieux > Kane IMO
Myers < Bogosian (slightly and different players)
2nd Rounder < 1st Rounder

I guess it depends on if it's the Sabres 2nd or not

But at that time it's not worth making this deal moving Myers does not need to happen unless it's for the right deal and an overpayment which this deal is not.

I actually think its a pretty fair trade

Myers for Bogosian is pretty much a wash

Winnipeg might not even make the playoffs, and I highly doubt they make it past the 1st round...
So it basically costs us Stafford to move up about 12 spots, maybe more (Staff is probably only worth a 2nd)

So then Armia & Lemieux for Kane
I wouldn't want to give that much up for him, but I think its fair


What's your major issue with the deal?
Only thing I can see is if u think Myers is substantially better than Bogosian

Not to denigrate that team, but does anyone ever think about if the Sabres had won (let me finish), what their legacy would have been?

A) Hasek and some other guys won
