I actually think its a pretty fair trade

Myers for Bogosian is pretty much a wash

Winnipeg might not even make the playoffs, and I highly doubt they make it past the 1st round...
So it basically costs us Stafford to move up about 12 spots, maybe more (Staff is probably only worth a 2nd)

So then Armia & Lemieux for Kane
I wouldn't want to give that much up for him, but I think its fair


What's your major issue with the deal?
Only thing I can see is if u think Myers is substantially better than Bogosian

This is hard to say no to when it's framed this way.

Will Myers ever return to Calder form? Can't Bogo Reach the same level? Injury potential seems a wash.

Armia and Lemieux is a high price, but you gotta give to get. Kane is very tempting.

Staff and 2d for 1st. This makes the Kane element way easier to swallow.

The big issue for me is that Chevy never does player for player deals, and now he's in this bombshell??

I don't know why you see them as so risky. It is quite possible that they are 2nd or 3rd line players. They are doing well in Rochester and seem to be progressing nicely. Isn't that the Detroit model?

So would Myers and Armia be enough to get it done? Or would we have to throw in a #1 and Stewart/Stafford?

It's fair to say he has been playing a very solid brand of hockey for several games, but - as much as I like Mike - I'd leave it at that.

Kane has scored 30 before. You're trading potential for more proven.

Armia could score 30 or he could go back to Europe in 3 years...

It's pretty fair. I still wouldn't do the trade with Myers included though. It's not a deal I would make if Myers is included.
