I'd trade Lemieux and Armia for a proven star all day long. - Slump Buster
I want Kane as well but I don't like the idea of trading two of our top prospects and not receiving one of their prospects in return. Lemieux shouldn't be moved in this scenario. |

Trade Armia. What he projects to be is already what Evander Kane is and then some.
Lemieux is a scoring pest. I see him like a Brad Marchand. He is a keeper and dont think he goes anywhere.
Stafford or Stewart is the immediate help that I think we all agree is fine giving up and same goes for the STL 1st but the prospect with these items is what will be interesting. I still hope to see Larsson go in the deal or get called up to replace when some of these vets get moved. He needs to be up here or needs to be gone. Flynn is first one I want to be off the team thats not an old expiring vet. He is an AHL player to me - Beezer33
I still think you vastly underrate Flynn, but we know you disagree on that.
Armia I understand, but not Lemiuex as well for the reasons you said. Compher or Hurley I get. |

Here is my thoughts on that "big trade" rumor:
If you can get Kane without giving up Lemieux I would be all for it.
Armia Stafford and say Baptiste I would even think about Compher for Kane
Myers for Bogosian
2nd for a 1st
The only way I would say okay is if I could get Yandle out of Arizona with Winnipeg's 1st and another spec (not named Lemieux)
I am not sure the asking price for Yandle but if I am sending Myers I want a puck moving D coming back one way or another. |

Flynn hasn't been playing well as of late, but I think putting him on a 4th line with Deslauriers and Mitchell you have a really solid 4th line. |

Kane is a proven star? Hardly, IMO.
Hall is a proven star, Kane is not. - kingcong39
Kane can score 30 and has. Hall has never done that. Hall is better than Kane but Kane has proven he can play at this level for good. See Seguin for reference |

Is E. Kane that first line winger you want for the next 10 years?
Or are we settling for a fringe top end talent player that Murray may be able to acquire?

I think at best he is a 4th line player in the NHL. Similar to the Danny Paille role. He is very quick and can be on the PK but I can name a bunch more people that can take his spot within a year |

Is this Kane, IYO? - TheSabresTaco
Yup. A two-way power forward that has the ability to put in 40 goals and punch you in the face afterward? Isn't that why teams are lining up to get this guy?
And the refusal to trade 18 and 20 year olds for this kind of player is laughable. I like Armia just fine but he might only ever be a 2nd or 3rd line player. He might be nothing. Who knows? That's the risk that Winipeg has to weigh. We know we'd be getting back a very good player / star. They might end up with a couple of 3rd liners. You gotta give to get. |

How would you play when no one likes you on the team and vice versa. He needs to be in a place that will help him grow. I think with our rebuild in full swing and ready to make the jump soon he would be an immense boost to our team for next year.
No one is Drew Stafford like...no one haha |

Schaller passes Flynn next year. There are only so many spots for these kinds of guys and we seem to have plenty of them. |

Put it this way. Would Pittsburgh like to have a guy like Kane on the wing for Crosby? My answer is yes.
Kane with McEichel si a 30 goal guy, IMO. he is also a guy to protect him and create space.

I still would but have really liked how Foligno has played as of late. He is back to that aggressive PWF with a scoring touch. I would be aiming to keep him and Lemieux. Armia is really highest prospect I would want to give up and simply because Kane does more than Armia already and Armia is a bit of an unknown currently. |

Hall has produced points at a higher level then Kane.
Is Kane the better all around player? Maybe.
However, Buffalo needs a point producing winger that will definitely produce, not someone that has produced at a decent level but could possibly improve.
Put Hall with their top 2 pick instead of Kane and I would almost guarantee he outperforms him.
Also, I understand your point about Seguin, however, I don't think Kane is in the same stratosphere in terms of production as Seguin, nor do I think he ever will be. |

Hall is at .88 PPG over his career. Kane is at .61.
I'd take Hall over Kane and never look back. |

...If BUF opts to put Tyler Myers into the equation, it will get very interesting for WPG. Anyway, BUF is aggressively pursuing.
