How would you play when no one likes you on the team and vice versa. He needs to be in a place that will help him grow. I think with our rebuild in full swing and ready to make the jump soon he would be an immense boost to our team for next year.
No one is Drew Stafford like...no one haha - Beezer33

1 30 goal season each last 5 years
Kane out scored Stafford 95 goals to 82 and total points 196 to 178
Do you really want to pay that much for 13 more goals and 18 more points?
Like I said proven star? He is not |

Kane can score 30 and has. Hall has never done that. Hall is better than Kane but Kane has proven he can play at this level for good. See Seguin for reference - Beezer33
You are probably the only person on the planet that would consider taking Kane over Hall. |

Hall is at .88 PPG over his career. Kane is at .61.
I'd take Hall over Kane and never look back. - HonkFortheGoose
Hall not available, Kane is.
Again Kane with McEichel is a dam good top line.
Kane-McEichel-Moulson top line?
Talk about wingers Crosby dreams of having. |

Schaller passes Flynn next year. There are only so many spots for these kinds of guys and we seem to have plenty of them. - Slump Buster
I do not agree with that. I think it is more likely that Schaller takes Mitchell's spot if they do not resign him.
Flynn is fast and always seems to make the right plays. The Sabres are severely lacking in the speed department. |

A friend of mine said he would do it if they would take Foligno instead of Lemieux. Thoughts? - HonkFortheGoose
That is more in line with what I was thinking. Although it still parts with guys I don't want to see gone: Myers and Armia.
I know you have to give to get but like others have said, I don't think TM will want to part with Lemieux as he is one of his picks. Players and prospects from the Regier era are far more likely.

I would agree with this - I'd also want Hall over Kane. But those guys aren't available and thus I don't see why we are talking about it. Also, even if they were we would have to give up significantly more to get them. |

He brings more to the table than Stafford. But yeah. I'm having a lot of trouble grasping the 'proven' star thing. More like potentially great.

E. Kane-McEichel-Ennis
Moulson-Reinhart-Grigorenko
Foligno-Girgensons-Larsson
McCormick/Kaleta-Schaller-Gionta
This is what I would like to see next year. Obviously for developmental reasons we will not but it gives you a potential projected lineup. Now remember we also would have: Fasching, Compher, Baptiste, Lemieux, Bailey, Hurley and this years draft picks already in system as well. I am hoping when Gionta's contract is up is around time we should be making a good run with a new young core all set
My Kane deal was: Kane for STL/NYI 1st, Stewart or Stafford, Armia
We have so many prospects it is hard to be mad if we give up him for someone already proven in the league and better most likely |

Yup. A two-way power forward that has the ability to put in 40 goals and punch you in the face afterward? Isn't that why teams are lining up to get this guy? - Slump Buster
When kane hits 40 goals in a season, let me know. I am far from sold on that happening. |

I would take Hall over Kane all day long and never said I wouldnt. I was simply stressing the point that Kane is proven in the league and def needs a change of scenary |

I know Foligno garners a lot of hate, but he is cheap and not getting expensive any time soon and that would allow Buffalo to spend more money elsewhere. Additionally he plays a position of need at LW and he would be just fine as a 3rd line LW, or worst case, a 4th line LW if the kids push him there. |

Girgensons deserves better than the 3rd line right now... He is proving it.
If they took that deal I would be ecstatic but I think they would need more... one of our D prospects probably too.

I am not sure if he has that great factor. He can be a very good player playing on McEichel's wing, which is why I want him. But I am not sending Myers in a deal for him or Lemieux unless its for something much bigger. |
