Only a matter of time I guess. He'll probably wait for the playoffs. It won't be too much of a loss from the line up for you guys if he can remove a star from the opposing team. - Cptmjl
We'll that will just be pathetic if that's what ends up happening. |

Lots of you have been overstepping the line in regards to bashing Ryan , lucky for you i can't stand coming here anymore so I don't see it or a lot more bans would have been handed out for similar infractions.

Speaking of... should have seen how loud and obnoxious i was after Crosby's second goal on Friday. I thought i was going to get kicked out of the dome.
These 4 guys behind me started it though...
Also, I saw a Zach Sill jersey on a fan...in Calgary. I had to talk to him to find out what was wrong with him but he seemed normal. |

Also this is not the case. There is a relatively new one and it is outstanding. |

Absolutely but when it happens to your team it shouldn't come as a shock and your response shouldn't be outrage if you're hoping your own players are doing exactly what you condemn. |

My theory is that some store brought 1 in for stock and after not selling it for a year and a half they gave it to someone when they bought a pair of shoes.
There really is no other explanation. |

Whose coattails is he exactly riding? Downie? Bennett? Arcobello? Who? How many of Sutter's 11 goals this year have been unassisted?
Sutter is what he is. A fundamentally sound defensive center who is great defensively against speed and skill and slightly less effective defensively against size. He's a deluxe penalty killer. He scores timely and clutch goals. He's not a gifted playmaker, and he's not a guy who is going to knock people off of pucks.
Once again, how exactly does Winnik solve the supposed complementary scoring problem when he doesn't score?!? - hardnosed
Winnik is statistically a better all around player. His shot supp. is better than Sutter, meaning he controls the play more often than the opposition when he is on the ice. That is pretty important. He has been a part of 20 Toronto goals, all at even strength. He is a much, much cheaper option than Sutter, freeing up over 2.5 million, which is enough to add in a player like Bergenheim or Tlusty.
Now you have a third line center with a better possession game, more responsible with the puck, and you added enough cap space to bring in yet another scoring depth forward in Tlusty or Bergenheim.
That is how Winnik helps solve the problem. You get actual value for your dollar. |
