The bigger fly is the Jets would never give up two stud D prospects for 1 year of Voracek, and Giroux has an NMC - why would he waive it to spend the next 7 years in Winnipeg?

I think a lot of people on this board would be less stressed out about the current state of the Flyers if they had a more realistic idea of the trade market. There are no quick fixes, so being patient and drafting well is the path to success.

Well you can fix the contract situation but really it's just a scenario. I'm not even endorsing the move but that's pretty much what happened with the Recchi trade. If you're looking to do it again that's just one scenario.

Well, from Berube's perspective, Mason is either ready to go or not. If he gets the OK from the medical staff, why wouldn't Berube play Mason?

I mean, if Mason were said to be good to go by the medical staff and Berube doesn't play Mason, Berube gets poop on for not icing his best lineup.

I really don't think there is a sinister bad guy on the medical staff. I think given what they saw with Mason (I think they did an MRI, no?), they sincerely thought that rest and rehab would get Mason over with this injury.

At this point, they almost need to scope Mason's knee just to see what is going on.

To be honest, I always enjoyed his hustle (Wellwood's). . That kid was quick, and gave everything he had every shift.

And I completely agree about Rinaldo.. I never want to see him on the ice as a Flyer again. White is doing 1000x better than he did...

Ok it's time for Mr Hextall to shut down Mason.
It's time for Hextall to realize we are not a playoff team. We had a 3% chance of making playoffs with Mason, have to think we are at a 1% chance now.
It's time to contact ALL the playoff/bubble teams that either need help or are hit with injuries...especially on the blue-line
Let's walk away at the end of the season with a couple of first round picks ( hopefully one will be a lottery) and a additional 3rd or possibly a 2nd. Who knows maybe Kimmo comes back and wishes to be moved.. There is another pick
