Trevor Linden was drafted in 1988, second overall. He played for the Canucks for 10 years when he was traded to the NYI for Todd Bertuzzi, Bryan McCabe and a 3rd round pick (Jarkko Ruutu). Todd Bertuzzi was then flipped for Roberto Luongo and Bryan McCabe helped us get both Sedins.

And the Sedins are currently with the Canucks Organization

It is amazing to think how much a draft pick in 1988 (almost 30 years ago) has and still has a profound affect on the Canucks Organization.

Markstrom, Matthias, and Daniel Sedin are technically here because of Trevor Linden.

There were a lot of missed opportunities to play a stiffer game, and was disappointed to see Higgins passing up check after check as the Wild controlled the puck and passed it around the Canuck zone at around 8:30 of the third period. It really stood out for me, but then I'm thinking, it doesn't seem like anyone is really hitting, just waving at the puck...

The Canucks scored their third a bit later than that time and you have to wonder if they had worked harder, could they have scored sooner? There are always shifts of momentum and of controlling the play, but are the Canucks working hard enough through these shifts, pushing back?

Should WD be trying to get the Sedins more offensive zone starts or does it matter if Hank isn't winning them? Is Henrik hurt, nursing an injury or is he really just that bad on faceoffs?
