Kassian has looked good the last couple of games. Seems a lot more focused on an all round game. I was at the Pitt game and he did a great job on the breakouts, which is an area he sometimes struggles.
- Mungo

He still missed a couple of passes he didn't expect. Not playing has hurt but progress is being made.

If he wasn't I would be disappointed. He should be turning over every rock to make this team better, as long as he doesn't have to stray from "the plan", which to me means Horvat/Virtanen/2015 1st are off the table. Add McCann if you like, but everyone else is only potential.

Sort of agree. I like what I see from him. If he was the main piece and followed up by Hansen Lack , I would do it then. Give to get.

Bonino could also be used , but that is as high up the charts that I go.

JV , BH , and the first are not touchable unless being used for McDavid

Question Leadership all you want but I garuntee you we have better leadership in this organization than WPG. Andrew Ladd? is that your leader? DB is that your leader, The guy that threw your clothes in the shower? They have talent, they dont have leadership.

Anyways Im as tired of this conversation as everyone else. Lets move on shall we.

- vancity787

This organization has lacked leadership since the Smyl and Linden were captians. The Canucks have been void of leadership since the '80's IMHO.

Messier was the greatest leader this team ever had. Trevor Who?

I disagree we had this discussion before the season started there are different types of leaders in the room. Just because they are not the alpha male stereotypical leader doesn't mean they aren't good chiefs. Leadership comes in many different forms and you balance out a locker room with them. You can't tell me that when Henrik has something to say the team isn't listening.

That was just an idiot management move to appease a player that was about to walk as a free agent who was the best goalie this franchise ever saw. MG would have blown him just to keep him.

Funny hearing people say they think MG will get a GM job in this league again. I cannot possibly fathom that happening.

Idiot move, agreed. But I think being one of the top 3 highest paid players in the league did more to keep Lu in Orca Blue than the C on his mask.

If thats original asking price. WPG can go fukk themselves. However if its the media making up bullshyt offer to rile people up then I say still explore it at the right price.

Call me stupid but the one thing I cant seem to find is whether he has a NTC. If he does. He can pull a Kes on the Jets and pretty much dictate where he gos. And from what I've read. Vancity is hungry for this kid.

Im not at all opposed to having him in our line-up. I think we have a solid group of leadership here from top to bottom that can lead this kid down the right path.Only question is What will it Actually cost us.......?

We'll see but I'll be surprised if he's flossin a Jets logo after the TD

Everyone keeps bringing up that we have the leadership on this team to get Kane on the right path. I would like to know where this leadership is when we have Kassian. Another player similar to Kane that has a lot of off ice issues yet this magical leadership that we have cannot get through to him. Or we talking about the leadership we had during COHO or Kessler days? I like Kane but I think he is with more issues then benefits. Kane has never played a full season and he only 23. What makes you think he will play a full season as he gets older and gets more bruised from his injuries and playing style. He has been a plus player once in his career. Has scored 30 goals only once in his career and has not hit 20 goals. I see Kane as Anson Carter. Peg is going to sell high on the pedigree and past performance rather then look at the actual deliverables. I would love to see Kane in Nuck gear but if it costs us more then Higgins, Hansen, Lack then I am not interested.

Kassian himself credits both Sedins for the progress he has made its up to him to make good on it. He trained with them off and on in the summers since he has been here. Hodgsen was moved because it was him or Keslord as 2nd line centre as well as his daddy didn't want him here. Leadership everyone views it differently but I don't question the Sedins.

All I am saying is that we have had multiple players with issues while the core leadership of this team remained the same yet all of those players were moved because of the same issues. Kassian is saying what he needs to say to stay relevant. Yes there are multiple types of leadership but I think we have the type to help players like Kassian and Kane develop. We need Leadership like Toews, Doughty, Shea to get players like Kane and Kassian to pay attention. We need leaders with the mix of talent, respect and intimidation to command a group of young spoiled millionaires.

I wonder how daddy is liking his son's situation now?

Sure, Hodgson got his contract (stupid contract) but he's benig exposed as the bust he is.

"As for the Sabres, underperforming centre Cody Hodgson is in coach Ted Nolan's doghouse.

Saying he's unhappy with Hodgson's play, Nolan announced the player would be the odd man out with forward Marcus Foligno returning after missing 19 games with a hand injury.

"We've got to get more out of him, and right now it's not working, so we'll let him watch," Nolan said. "It's just not working for whatever reason. And when you go through that, you've got to do your own soul-searching and find out what makes you work and fit in."

Hodgson has just two goals and eight points in 51 games this season. He's in the midst of a 22-game goal drought.

How far down the depth chart do you think Cody will be after Buffalo gets McDavid?

Edit: Six year contract worth $25.5 million, $4.25 million per.

Did Bolland or Seguin shoot their mouths off recently?
