Wild pretty much need at least a point tonight. Dubnyk has been on fire, but I give a lot of the credit to the Wild playing lights out team defense in front of him. Should be an exciting game tonight.

It should be a good one, canucks are great on the road, and with there dads in the stands they should have more fire, plus dubnyks gotta cool off sooner then later

Well i mean if i was winnipegs gm id be going after horvat virtanen and vans first, once they realize its not happening theyll settle for less (hoping)

Jets will have to move him before the start of next season. They're more likely to get better value for him at the draft, but they'll have to weigh that against how much help they could get now in order to make a push for a playoff spot and potentially a run in the playoffs. If someone offers something that is remotely close to what they think they can get at the Draft they'll jump on it..... but with the jets GM i doubt he'll pull the trigger on anything.... has been very reluctant to do anything

Clendenning and Kenins out
- VANTEL

and who is in?
I think we should stick with
edler/tanev
hamhuis/corrado
stanton(or sbisa)/clendening

also i would prefer higgins out over kenins

Thanks Carol always good. Dubnik has been great. I said last season when Edmonton was destroying another good player in Devan that if he was given a shot anywhere but there he would excel. Excellent goalie. Big time steal for MInny.

I watched him often in Kamloops...he was great to watch then...thought he'd do more by now.

the guy basically quit on the team by electing to have surgery. Kane was toughing it out and trying to help the team and doing a pretty good job of it with one bum shoulder. Clearly that last incident in Vancouver was enough for him to say it's not worth it. Playing for guys that think that throwing your stuff in the shower is a good way to send a message is probably an environment that anyone would want to get out of. Kane clearly has some growing up to do as well, but that Winnipeg environment sounds toxic for all parties involved. Jets would be wise to move him.

I doubt any top teams would offer anything at this point. No point in giving up assets for a guy that won't help you at all this season. Trade market is probably pretty limited for Winnipeg, if they are desperate enough to try to make the playoffs etc then you might be able to get Kane cheaper than what he might cost at the draft.

It sounds like Benning is trying to sell "win now" assets as their strategy. Makes me very relieved that Bob thinks that Horvat and Virtanen are out of the question

It honestly sounds like he is trying to pitch the typical trade suggestion we find here

Amazing what a change of scenery (from the Oil) can do for you

Reward for being bad?
- VANTEL

I figure the really shiite team would still finish last, but that the 'tank' teams like Toronto wouldn't be able to get the overall pick.

if anything I think the percentages of the bottom 3 teams should be adjusted so they are all almost equal so that being absolutely brutal doesn't guarantee the overall pick... at least teams 14-27 wouldn't get the overall pick in most likelihood...

YA I hear you it's just seems like an odd decision but agree that Stanton is a better option than Weber at this point. Stanton can/and has played tough but man he can be a defensive mess in our own zone. Guess maybe it don't matter a whole lot as hamhuis is getting bounced around in our D zone quite a bit right now too.

John Abbott was suggesting that WD is rotating some of the defensemen. No real explanation as to why or who specifically.

Paul Maurice is a good coach and has expectations of each and every player on his team if the other players have no problem following a system and a locker room culture put forth by your coach and management then its either fall in line or don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. They have a good young team and as we have seen in our own team how one selfish player can make for a toxic environment. The Kane situation tells me. He is an self entitled newly rich kid that thinks he is above everyone on his team. If it were my team and Kane got levelled with his head down I wouldn't be quick to go to his defence. Statement made. Personally right now I wouldn't want him on my team. Let him grow up a bit elsewhere then maybe. Ribero settled down and grew up.

I wonder if WPG would go something like Mcann/Higgins/2016 1st for Kane? Would we? Maybe take out Mcann and put gaunce or cassels in?
