I hate to get rid of the 1st but if we make playoffs it wont really be to low of pick, plus kanes young so id do that, doubt winnipeg would

pretty sure Chevaldayoff would have Benning's number blocked if Benning used our proposals

I wonder if WPG would go something like Mcann/Higgins/2016 1st for Kane? Would we? Maybe take out Mcann and put gaunce or cassels in?
- Retinalz

I really wouldn't. If that was what you were looking for then draft a Kane like player.

Most I would give away is Bonino Hansen Second or MCCann Higgins and second.

I don't think we are getting E Kane

From what I have heard Benning say our first is off the table. If we were to trade for Kane I think Benning will be trying to sell the Jets on assets that they could use for a playoff push instead of futures, which likely means we end up picking higher this year if a deal goes through

Yeah that makes sense, try to get a 4th over 5th
- phyllee

Regardless it is better than nothing. Last year's fifth turned into Clendenning

was just thinking that the reason why weber might be getting the start is because the dad's are on the trip, i'm sure weber's planned the trip well in advance since they're coming over from Europe. meanwhile clendening just joined the team... maybe his dad isn't on the trip.

Very true, and corrado was a fifth rounder to, and bieksa, good thing we got an extra fifth this year, just missing our third

Exactly why Lack should at least play 2/3 games, millers parents are always there, especially against detroit with that weird jersey

Where did you read this?

And I thought Gaunce/Higgins(or Hanson) and 2016 1st was a little too much

That was in there as an example, not a declined offer. Esp if it was a 2015 1st wpg would jump on the chance as well.

The Jets must be fairly desperate to make the playoffs for a number of reasons. Trading Kane needs to net them something of both immediate and future value. Adding Kassian and McCann along with the 18th or so overall pick doesn't really help them to achieve that goal IMO.

ya exactly, they said if this offer were on the table, JB would pull the trigger but suggests it wouldn't be enough for the Jets. I'd hope JB wouldn't pull the trigger on this kind of deal. Too much in my opinion

But i don't want to
He's a great fit here. I just don't want to lose a chance at 1st round in this draft pool. thats why 2016 makes sense, weaker draft.

Canucks don't have the assets . It's like wanting to buy a million dollar house making 30 thousand a year

We have the assets, jut not the willingness to pay the price wpg wants. Question will be is anyone willing to pay that price? If the answer is no then we have a shot.

I don't question his attitude. I am sure some of his antics are related to the fact he really wanted out of Winnipeg
