We have the assets, jut not the willingness to pay the price wpg wants. Question will be is anyone willing to pay that price? If the answer is no then we have a shot. - Retinalz
I guarantee you someone will offer up something better than Kassian, McCann, and a later 1st round pick. |

I don't question his attitude. I am sure some of his antics are related to the fact he really wanted out of Winnipeg - VANTEL

If a team that is not making the playoffs wants to give up an asset for an asset then yeah someone near the bottom would. |

We are not price is to high for a kid that needs an attitude adjustment. - thundachunk
He does need an attitude adjustment. But doesnt have anyone over there I would consider a leader..... Do you see anyone on that team that can provide the amount of leadership the Sedins, Burr and Juice do? I dont. If he doesnt cost to much (And I believe his stock is plunging) I'd take a shot at it.
When you have Benning and Linden at the helm, 2 insanely classy people. They wouldnt aquire him unless they truly believe they could extract the best performance possible and turn him into a gentleman.
Kid needs to grow up. But I wouldnt take kindly to being bullied either. |

I agree and noted the same a bit earlier. Whoever is getting Kane, they are going to fork over some significant assets. Kane is a top talent and teams will line up to get a crack at him - notwithstanding his off-ice issues. I think with a change of scenery, some proper mentoring, and leadership, as well as progressive management (who realize they are now dealing with an altogether new breed of hockey player - young, rich millionaires who still lack maturity) who can provide proper guidance and discipline |

+1
P.S. incidentally, quite ironic that Big Buff (who himself has transgressed team rules - i.e. showing up way overweight to camp several occasions) would be the one to get on a bit of a high horse and taking things into his own hands. |

Wild Canucks Avalanche Kings Flames and Stars all really close for the wild card spot. Canucks need to stay ahead of the Kings and Flames over the next month and we'll be IN |

It reminded me on the bad part of Edmonton.
Sorry if I offended someone. It had no appeal o me |

I really wouldn't. If that was what you were looking for then draft a Kane like player.
Patience grasshopper
Most I would give away is Bonino Hansen Second or MCCann Higgins and second.
I don't think we are getting E Kane - VANTEL
I'm not saying we are getting Kane but I'm willing to bet we make a pretty good pitch for him in the summer.
Kassian fits the Jets style/moniker to a tee and I bet they would like to try him there and Lack might fit nicely there too given the right opportunity in net. Toss in a roster player and maybe a prospect we aren't all that high on but the Jets might try and viola....
The simple fact is that even if we do make the playoffs the season will be short...and the summer we are going to need to move ALOT of bodies out to make room for the 'full rebuild'. Burrows, Bieksa, Higgins, Stanton, Weber, Hansen, Richardson and few others might all be gone which will make more than enough room to fit Kane in. If WPG has to have Horvat, Virtanen and our first it won't happen....but lots other options out there.
Let's face it...I hate Kesler as much as anyone else here the guy was a Class A tool his final few seasons here but we do miss what his game brought and Kane can actually give us alot...or 'some' of that power game back. Sedins will be flowing down the depth chart the next few seasons and a top 6 guy like Kane given the right opportunity and environment in Van could blossom. Sure it could go sideways but risk/reward is always a crapshoot.
I kind of (mostly) doubt it but I wouldn't be shocked if we see Evander Kane in a Van uniform next season. |

Thankfully we have Miller for the stretch-run this year and not Lack...we should be fine.
Not that I don't like Lack, because I do, just not as a starter. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Benning offered up Bonino in a deal for him...just sayin. |

Around draft time though...because I think him and Linden really want this team to make the playoffs.

I found that when I left my home city whenever I came back for a visit it was always a gong show because you are trying to meet and see everyone all at once. On the other hand when I actually moved back to my home city I settled in quite nicely and mellowed out pretty quickly. It was a easy transition and the right fit. I think he has a lot of growing up to do but if home is where the heart is it might be a good thing for him and the franchise. I personally am not a huge Kane fan but he is a great player and I would take a chance on him in a heartbeat but not at the rumoured asking price. |

I don't think he truly beat Luongo out of a starting role like CS did but rather coaching and management had enough. I like Lack I really do but Miller is proven and I am way more comfortable with him in there. |

Bonino a prospect/pick for Kane and to fill the hole at center go after a guy like Soderberg in July. |
