I wouldn't be surprised if Benning offered up Bonino in a deal for him...just sayin. - LeftCoaster
were so thin at C I think that would be a mistake. |

Bonino a prospect/pick for Kane and to fill the hole at center go after a guy like Soderberg in July. - thundachunk
I think the best thing we could do if we could trade Bonino for Kane and also trade Higgins Burr and Bieksa for picks |

I dont see any moves at the TDL (sadly) but I do see Benning making moves at the draft or in the summer.
I'd love for them to move Higgins at the TDL and call up Jensen |

Higgins and Burrows are going to Montreal and Bieksa probably isn't going anywhere. |

I have been saying that since last season. Only reason he got a shot at the end of last season was due to injuries. |

For the offense he's provided, 25 pts, they can go out and get a stop-gap for a year or two. |

We actually have very good center depth it's just that none of them are better than 3rd liners. If Bonino is traded I'd be fine with Matthias as a patchwork 2C until someone is ready to take over. Obviously he would be terrible but that's fine so long as Horvat isn't forced into a role he's not ready for |

He is showing he is not far from getting the big minutes.

I agree. Still don't want him being forced into it. Let him work his way up so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed |

Not meaning to rush them but I already considered them our second line |

I think Horvat has shown maturity beyond his years (and that also includes his physicality - he is easily going to fill out into at least a top 6 role at some point (probably sooner than later). He's been extremely impressive |

Horvat can walk on water (frozen helps...)
He is having a great rookie season, and his poppa hasn't interfered yet... |

I think he is heading in the right direction.
He seems to be progressing, want this development to continue but not pressured to do too much, but be given the opportunity to develop at his own pace. What this means and how it all comes about, I don't know, but what ever is happening seems to be working. |
