I actually enjoy Angelo, as long as you know that he doesn't really believe the bulk of what he says. Having Morganti try to explain stuff to him is worth the listen. - jmatchett383
i can't even pick up WIP down here anymore. If I did listen it'd have to be over the web. |

I personally didn't think he was out of line, but I don't make the calls on that. He tried calling Paul out on something (can't remember) and apparently went too far. |

The radio down here is even worse. poopty rock station that plays the hell out of Rush, Ac/DC and Nickelback, ESPN station in AC that is 90% national programming and one local guy who is begging to be on WIP or the Fanatic the way he does his show and top 40 crap.
I listen to then XM hockey channel most of the day. If not that than old time radio or the different music channels. I avoid the other sports talk channels |

I'd love to know what his issue was. I read all of Stewart's blogs and haven't found much to disagree with.

I'd need to propose thirty or so trade scenarios for yakupov to reach our departed friend from Delawares illustrious status.

This must be why Tangent refuses to move. All of his favourite bands on one station. Actually I don't know what he does. Maybe that's his station.
"GIVE ME MORE NICKELBACK OR YOU'RE FIRED!!!"
Any way. I listen to hockey podcasts when I can (MvsW, HC@N & Junior). Otherwise I stick with KYW or if the family's in the car we can all settle into 104.5 as a livable compromise. |

I don't mind Stewarts blogs, but i don't think I'm the only one who had issues with his comments on how he handled lindros in his playing days. |

He and Turk Evers recall the whole Lindros poster signing/ripping incident in completely different ways. |

he was the worst ref in the NHL for years and years and now all I read in the comments are how great he was. any other comment gets deleted/banned. |

My only real issue with him is how he seems to feel a constant need to show how tough/manly/courageous/moral of a guy he has always been. Which is fine from time to time, but when you're ripping other people in an attempt to show how much better you are, it makes for bland reading. |

Turk said, more or less, that Lindros never ripped up the posters and never had a problem signing stuff for charity.
I PM'ed Paul about it and opined that maybe he and Evers should discuss it to clear the air, and he basically dismissed the idea with something like, "Turk is a nice guy and can say whatever he wants, but I know what happened." |

I don't remember him enough as a ref, but Stephane Auger was probably the worst ref of all time. |

he was absolutely the worst.
imagine if Chris Lee and Tim Peel had a 3 parent child with that russian ice dancing ref at the olympics.
that would be Paul Stewart.
it was literally impossible back in the day to watch a game he reffed and NOT have the game be all about him.
he made Kerry Fraser look like a wallflower he was so arrogant |

I remember paul writing in a blog that he wouldn't give Eric the benefit of the doubt on penalty calls because of that situation and to me he should never have officiated another game that eric played in going forward if he couldn't separate the personal from professional. |
