I'd consider Buff the ultimate winner in the trade.

They get a great power forward and I very good Dman.

But only one of them will be in the line-up for the rest of the year.

So this year will only get worse for them With the assets they lost plus the fact they dont have Evander Kane.

Hence terrible team, Hence Connor Mcdavid.

Actually I'll call them Both winners.

Mcdavid + Kane could be a sick line for years to come.

Their is no such thing as short term losing In Buffalos case. Only long term winning.

Buffalo got absolutley fleeced. They received 2 problem child's and paid a huge price. I don't care if they have a lot of prospects they are still excellent assets. Plus Kane will continue to be a douche and won't resign. Terrible trade for Buffalo. They clearly don't understand how to rebuild

But Pits and Chi mastered the tank and win. Both teams got a cup not long after getting crosby/malkin and toews/kane

There is a big difference in tanking when Crosby/Malkin are the # 1 as opposed to RNH or Yakipov

I'm mostly just relieved that the Canucks didn't get Kane.

Like the hometown-boy angle, but don't like the baggage.

That, plus the Sedins and - oh yeah! - a game tonight, in today's blog:

How long were they bad for? Long enough for Pits to almost lose their franchise. They got lucky, IMO. Players like Crosby, Malkin or Toews aren't available every draft.

Taveres, Mackinnon, Seguin, Stamkos(even though same draft as toews), Landeskog, Johansen, Duchene, The list goes on of great players in each and every draft year. Ekblad last year.

How so?
Or do you mean Bogo's questionable health?

I am hoping we get our asses kicked these next few games.

I would hate to see us close and trying to buy. A few of our old players are having rebound years, now is the time to sell them for picks.

We will need 3 years to turn this team around, I hope Benning jumps on that this year, and does not wait until 3 more years to start the rebuild. This team is going nowhere and this is suppose to be a strong draft

I was surprised that Vancouver was even looking at this trade.
The asking price was going to be substantial no matter how you did it.
With that said. Winnipeg did get more for Kane then i thought they would.
I also don't think Buffalo was very smart to have Kane as one of the leading Vets on their very young impressionable team. Althogh they have stated that they are not done yet, So i wouldn't be surprised to see them go after some known leaders, With high moral conviction to offset the (insinuated) dealings of Mr. Kane

The idea of Kassian + Jensen + 3rd for Kane is a much better deal. I still don't want Kane in the organization. He'll demand to be in the top 6. Who gets punted out? Burrows?
