Yup, have to see who they end up getting with that pick. It just seemed to be too much considering the whole Kane drama in WPG. - wolfhounds
Again, the player taken is irrelevant, and there's no guarantee that the Sabres take the same player. Just have to base it on it's value at the time of the trade. |

They have that extra first now so they could package to move up or even maybe get another asset for the playoffs. - J35Bacher
Step right over here, Mr. Coburn. |

Agreed, but it's probably a 20-26 pick. Still nice, but not a lottery pick. - jmatchett383

Step 1: Trade all of our players for draft picks
Step 2: Ice AHL team for the rest of the season
Step 3: If AHL players ever lose a game, trade all of the AHL players (except Stortini, who is untradeable) for more draft picks
Step 4: Ice team of draft picks
Step 5: At draft, use draft picks to draft players
Step 6: Trade all of the newly drafted players for draft picks. |

It is. But it doesn't matter, because only top-5 picks ever yield superstars. |

Well, at some point, you need to demolish the building and build a new one to get the reek of Mike Richards out of there. They can play their home games at XFinity Live while the new arena is being built. |

As bad as the Flyers are right now, it does bring me some solace knowing that the Maple Leafs are in even worse shape. Of course, they've won the last 4 December Cups. |

The exact value of a first round pick is as feasible to figure out as the exact value of Braydon Coburn. It's totally debateable.
Like I was saying, the Flyers traded the 27th pick in 2008 for Steve Eminger. But they didn't trade John Carlson, that's just what Washington did with the pick. Had the Caps picked Daultan Leveille, it still didn't change the value of what the Flyers traded. |

yeah. this, exactly. people dont understand this enough.
hindsight cant really factor into the equation. the value needs to be decided based at the current moment. |

C'mon. That's over blown. Former Flyers have only had their names scratched into the Cup 16 times in the last 5 years. |

Ha! So, Pouliot looks good too, right? That's promising
The Pens might be playing possum a little, trying to conserve some energy for the playoffs -- you know I usually mock them, but I think they have a decent setup right now unless someone got hurt that I don't know about
