Again Lemieux and Armia are prospects. THEY ARE NOT PROVEN. - ImThatGuy
I have to agree with this.... Armia has potential but Kane is less than 25 and is already a beast...
We actually have a TON of 3rd and 4th line guys.. so I'm not that sad about losing Lemiux.. we have Foligno, Larsson, Deslauriers, Flynn, not to mention guys like Bailey and Fasching who at WORST would be a 3rd line guy. |

and we really don't know all the details of the trade yet - IndianaSabresFan
The details are known. Myers, Armia, Lemieux, Stafford, and whichever of the 1st round picks that is lowest for Kane, Bogosian, and Kasdorf. |

This thread is unbelievably entertaining! You guys don't even know what the deal is but you: hate it; love it; want Murray fired; think Murray is God.
This is hilarious! - maaddmike

Great trade.
Armia sucks to lose but he was the most tradeable of the "A" prospects.
I could not give two poops about Brandon Lemieux. He might be awesome and punch people and score some points but theres an equal chance hes a career 3rd liner who doesnt really do anything impactful.
Stafford played a mean guitar, gonna miss that guy.
They get the lowest first round pick so between NYI and Blues one of them probably goes to conference finals, nuts we lost the 27th pick!
Bogosian for Myers is a wash, pretty much identical players. Not even sure why that was in the deal honestly.
Kane is great. Best player in the deal.
Check please.

Buffalo has traded:
Myers, Stafford, Armia, Lemieux, and a 1st round pick (ST Louis pick probably)
to Winnipeg in exchange for:
Bogosian, Kane, and Kasdorf |

So now all of the sudden people are saying we dont have McEichel. before today we were penciling him in. - ImThatGuy
Just a thought, if Toronto can make it down to 28th (very possible) it would make lots of sense for the league to rig the draft. It probably wouldn't be the first time. Then for Buffalo to have the best chance at 2nd overall they would have to finish worse than Edmonton. I know they're 4 points behind right now but history has shown that when the cards are on the table no one loses like the Oilers. |

The pick is whichever pick ends up lowest. Murray was smart for doing that. |

I would have loved to sneak in Grigs instead of Armia |

We just got rid of talent and Kane will not play this year. It makes the team worse in the short term. - ImThatGuy
The only "talent" we lost was Stafford. While I'm not a hater of his and wouldn't mind him still being with the team, it's not a huge loss. Plus it might also mean a callup of Grigorenko now that his learning-mate of Armia is gone. Who knows. It's just not too safe of a cushion yet is all. |

sabres just traded for a player on IR and oilers just put Hall on IR. It's gonna be one hell of a tank race!!

I'll take some credit for this deal, I knew about it a day or so ago just didn't know all the players like I posted, I knew a couple but not all. Stafford and Armia I knew and maybe Psysk was the D man if the Jets wanted one.
I also said no way Myers was going to the Ducks. - SABRES 89
super, super impressed.

A bit of an overpayment, and I don't get why Myers/Bogo needed to happen, but I'm ok with it. Darcy would win trades and fail to assemble good teams. Tm has a plan, and Kane is the best player in this deal.
By the way, I don't care if he does moneyphone. - nfph
Seems to me like Murray was "listening" on Myers A LOT harder than we were led to believe |

Not necessarily. He may have zeroed in on Kane and went for it. Nobody else of his caliber were known to have been available.

The Sabres could have six players in their lineup next season who were top ten overall draft picks.
