Seems to me like Murray was "listening" on Myers A LOT harder than we were led to believe - jdfitz77
Or maybe he really likes bogosian who probably has around the same value we thought Myers had. |

Just a thought, if Toronto can make it down to 28th (very possible) it would make lots of sense for the league to rig the draft. It probably wouldn't be the first time. Then for Buffalo to have the best chance at 2nd overall they would have to finish worse than Edmonton. I know they're 4 points behind right now but history has shown that when the cards are on the table no one loses like the Oilers. - Jeffmt
Mark my words, the NHL will make sure either Toronto or Arizona 'win' the lottery. |

I honestly believe Myers had to be included in this trade or Winnipeg holds Kane until the draft where more teams can get in on him. It's maybe a bit of an overpayment to insure the Sabres got their man. |

They don't need to sell toronto. they will have loyal fans forever.
If they truly do rig it, it goes to carolina or arizona. |

Apparently Armia and Lemieux were the only good Prospects Buffalo had?
Armia WAS NOT a Murray pick. - ImThatGuy
Buff 1000 mentioned lemieux being "a cancer" in the locker room on ek's thread. |

So when Kane and Bogosian both miss their annual 15-20 games next season, are we still going to love this? |

That's what makes the Lemieux inclusion shocking to me. |

Or us... A city on the rise, A team that everyone is talking about, a owner that is going to be a big spender, etc. The NHL is coming here for the next draft and I'm sure we will get an Allstar game sometime in the next couple years.

If you look at it as Myers for Bogo and Armia, Lemieux and a 1st for Kane, it makes quite a bit of sense. #Sabres
In that way..... We did pretty damn good. |

Toronto with McDavid = huge HRR (hockey related revenue). That is all they care about. |

No offense but thats kind of a crap thing to say. No one can predict injuries.
they were both former top 5 picks.
Add - If Armia or Lemieux never make the NHL Buffalo Winds hands down. |

Will see if the grass is greener on the other side for Kane. I am sure Buffalo is a hell of a lot better than Winnipeg, or the general area itself anyway.
Kind of funny they trade him to one of the worst clubs in the NHL. Not for long though, have to admit Buffalo is stacking up the talent. Just get a good coach. |

Also, Armia has had his problems staying healthy (and he hasn't even made it to the pros yet) |

Its possible, he's taking a huge risk here but this something rebuilding teams are criticized of not doing. |

I'm jus not sure why you make the swap on D. I dont mind the rest, but swapping Dmen make no sense to me. |
