Actually, no. I think at this point you know what Kane is (or at least close to it). He has had 4 years in the league, and his average point/goal production says he is what it is. Can he improve on that? Of course. Can he be a PPG player? I don't think so.

Armia, Lemieux and a 1st. What if all three of those players turn out to be top 6 players (and at cheaper rates), then who has the higher ceiling in the deal?

With Kane, I don't think he's played up to the level he's capable of the last few years due to injuries. He also wasn't playing with the most talented players which is his own fault due to his attitude but in the right situation with good ice time and quality PP time, I think you will see his production increase.

Incredible how the Sabres posters are now referring to Myers as a player on the decline and his stats now show it. Yesterday they could have gotten Kane, Bogosian, and a 1st from Winnipeg for Myers alone according to most on their thread

All good questions. I have no idea whatsoever about Skapski, except he looks like he is 6 years old, and just seems awestruck. If it is just going to be another 10 games, play Talbot until he drops as far as I am concerned. If it may be more, than maybe a guy like Enroth would fit the bill, although really haven't watched much of him this year.

Would you concede that Buffalo has a higher ceiling in this deal? Where you do not think it is worth the gamble but if it pays off it pays off huge?

I actually think WPG has the higher ceiling. Myers IMO has a much higher ceiling than Bogo... if he gets his game together he could be as dominating as Chara... big guys like that are very hard to come by... almost as hard as big power forwards(without head cases).

typical. most fans over value their own players. just look at us with Kreider. I wouldnt trade him for just about anyone. Myers is good, but currently is about par with Bogo, myers has the higher ceiling, but currently on par.

Yea I kind of take back that thought. I guess all my recanted thoughts just go to show I am bigger on Evander Kane than most. Wasn't looking at the bigger picture.

question, who you guys rather have playing 6th Dman - JMoore or Scott Hannan from SJS? Hannan only has a $1M cap hit. his game isnt sexy but i think it would be a slight upgrade over Moore.

San Jose seems to be playing Hannan over 20 minutes a night, I am just not sure why they would get rid of him
