I wouldnt be surprised to see Dustin Brown targeted by Murray in the off season.

Kings need cap space and Brown is signed long term.

Either way, with the draft in Buffalo, you would want at least 1 pick in that draft. (I would at least).

That being said, if you could trade it for a stud player, I would do it, move the rebuild into the last phase!

So he was Kane?
- Cptmjl

I wouldn't disagree.

Just saying don't come in here and say only Buffalo would trade for a guy like that when not so long ago the team you root for (not you per say) did that exact same thing.

I did not know this

"Martin Brodeur 3======> Martin Brodeur’s wife’s Sister
Marty Broduer is arguably the greatest goalie in the history of the game and unlike the other goalies on the list, his wife wasn’t getting a little from a teammate, rather he was sleeping with his wife’s sister. His wife found out about it right in the middle of the New Jersey Devils run to the Cup. Marty shook off the distraction and the Devils won the cup that year. Brodeur has since married his former sister-in-law. One positive is that he doesn’t need to prove himself to a new set of in-laws."

Although I'm not sure I would trade for Brown (would prefer someone a bit younger) but this is the type of trade Murray will be going after with our prospects and picks. Guys on cash strapped teams.

3-4 years ago sure.

IMO he has less in the tank than Richards does.

- dadeadhead

Not sure who has more left. but I tend to agree. He is signed until 37.

With his style he will be done by in 3-4 years.

I could see it happening though.

True but they do the first round on a Friday night and then the rest of the draft on Saturday, so I would think they would want a pick on Friday night, for the fans. But it would be better for the fans to get a stud player now, haha

According to Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News, the Sabres will reportedly pursue Luke Richardson for their head coaching job.

Ted Nolan hasn't been fired yet, but it's expected that he will be and the current head coach of the Binghamton Senators could be his replacement. Nolan probably won't be let go until after the 2014-15 campaign.

If this does end up ringing true its a huge mistake.

Not just that, but it makes Murray and Pegula look like some pretty huge douchebags.

Hire a guy so he can take the fall, while the guy that orchestrated putting this poopty roster together with all of his wasted moves this past summer that Teddy has been forced to coach is let go?

The guy that wants to stand in front of the media and act like he is shocked at what a bad team this is, or how bad it is?

He should know, he brought Gorges, Neuvirth, Benoit, Meszaros , Strachan in here to be this bad, and just let his best goalie leave to bring in another waste of roster space in Lindbach.

(frank)ing hypocrite scumbag son of a female dog.

If Nolan is not given next season with a roster not set up to fail by the GM, i'll never respect the guy, ever.

It's a piece of poop move if indeed happens.

I can't even stand the nerve and arrogance of that beady eyed (frank) for placing all the blame on Nolan and none besides in a "matter of fact manner during the interview" on himself.

I can't even wrap my head around this and the arrogance of that fool.

Or maybe Nolan just isn't that good of a coach and was brought in here for that reason........

Douche move for sure but business is business and if Luke is what Murray wants, all the power to him.

serious question

how is the product on the ice better now then it was in the fall?

what areas have the team improved?

how is the effort from this team compared to the fall?
