Ahhh trades - said with a Homer Simpson impersonation.
So the Florida B's are gone now that they might reach the playoffs & are actually playing?
They should rotate Sill with Rust & Farnham if they aren't going to scratch him. See how Farnham would go with Lapeirre. - Aussiepenguin
And where exactly are the Pens getting the cap space to bring up either one of those guys let alone both? Also the Pens only have 1 roster spot left. So only could do one. And that is only after you find the cap space for them. |

They could probably use an NHL defenseman. Why did you bring up Scuderi's name?
- jmatchett383
2 reasons. It would be nice to get that contract off the books for the next 2 years and to upgrade the 3rd line center......then ship Sutter for a winger 2 reasons. Anybody see/hear what happened between Adams and Perron in the handshake line after the game? Didnt look like they were too pleased with each other. - Rawdog9755

I saw that. Looked like Perron went for the jugular, but Perron was definitely laughing/smiling, so it was clearly a joke, but Adams was not smiling/laughing. I wonder if the rest of the team bullies Adams. That would be hilarious. Not that bullying is hilarious, but just the fact that it is being done to Adams. |

Yes I was wondering the same thing myself, it was awkward. Although it looked like Perron was kidding by grabbing Adams face, and then Adams snapped. |

Somebody on another site mentioned it looked like Adams jokingly ball tapped Perron and that is what led to Perron fake strangling Adams. Not sure if it is true though. |

I think Adams can see the writing on the wall. He's either on his way to the pressbox or Wilkes

Would love to see Methot brought in, but price would probably be steep, plus they would need to shed some salary. Stick him with Despres on the 2nd pairing, then have Ehrhoff and Scuderi as the 3rd pairing. I like Pouliot, I really do, but I am just not sold he will be ready for the playoffs this year. Next year, play the whole season on top of the experience he has gotten this year, sure I think he will be ready, but not yet.
Pens sat back last night in the 3rd and it almost bit them in the ass. I felt they sat back a little in the 3rd against Det too, but not as bad as last night. But they gotta correct that, can't play really well for 2 periods and then sit back, not a strategy for success. |

I disagree. Some people no matter how old they get never gain the ability to stand up for themselves and allow themselves to be pushed around by other more dominant personalities. And that is definitely bullying, it is not something solely reserved for children. |

That's called being a douche bag, not being a bully. A bully is someone who will come up to you on the play ground and make you give them your lunch money or get beat up. If someone does that as an adult, it's called extortion and/or any slew of arrestable offenses, and can easily be solved by contacting the local authorities. |

Ryan, you got Hannan's HERO wrong. When I look it up he's awesome.
So, I mean, it breaks my heart to trade him to you, but we will. - Tim Chiasson

Your issue is the quality of the 4th line...not that they are out there..this is my point..and has been for a while. You want better more complete players available to play on this team...trade a big piece away...get those players and free up cap space. ...lead right to my argument about trading geno. Thx - taleisyreXIII
Absolutely everyone wants a better fourth line. But the fact that you have to reach around so far to proclaim that we need to move big money let alone a superstar second center just to improve the 4th or bottom six in general means you're an idiot, sorry I won't dance around it.
Improving the fourth line has nothing to do with us being up against the cap. There are players much better than Sill or Adams with similar or slightly higher hits who could have been picked up without the cost of picks the past off season. But since this management and coaching staff, much like the five of you total who defend those plugs night in and night out, feel the need to make excuses and hold double standards with their expectations, they won't scratch waive or demote those two or Sutter when they play like garbage.
Since they refuse to let semi better players like Farnham or Rust play over Adams and Sill just because they have been around longer, JR's only option is now to send out more picks if he wants an improvement over Craig Adam's Charmin soft™ play and hits where he just bounces off the unphased opposition.
And we're all well aware now that Bartley was 100% correct, Sutter never turned a corner in his career. But knowing this team he will still somehow manage to be around until the off season at the earliest or hell, they won't get rid of him at all because they seem to love his mediocrity and pump him up to be better than he is.
If you replace those two or hell make a trade to get enough depth to push them out of the lineup and send Sutter anywhere else this team is 100 times better without falling for the bs notion that some of you want to propagate that we can't have competent depth just because we spent smart money on three to four awesome players.
Just because HCMJ is in charge and refuses to hold those three to the same standards as say, Bennett, doesn't make it A) a smart idea or B) validate your or anyone else's thin reasoning on why they don't sit a few games or more in the pressbox or get shipped out of town. He's far from perfect, and being a coach of our favorite team doesn't make him infallible. |

Wow. Who pissed in everyone's cheerios here this morning?
Its an 82 game season, and every game doesn't have to serve as a referendum on Adams, Scuderi, HCMJ's line matching, etc. Some of you guys really out to consider chilling out and living in the moment and just try to enjoy the game. Its actually quite fun.
Sometimes I wonder if the internet has ruined a lot of people's ability to simply enjoy a mid season hockey game on a cold Thursday night. (Or instead of the internet, it could be Obama's fault....or swamp gas...or Bylsma's...I just don't know) |
